Target is not done celebrating Pokemon‘s 30th anniversary, as a second drop has been officially announced. 2026 marks the 30th anniversary of Pokemon, with The Pokemon Company and Nintendo celebrating in various ways. On the video game front, the celebrations have included the re-release of Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen on the Nintendo Switch, and the reveal of the Generation 10 Pokemon games, 2027’s Pokemon Winds and Waves.
As far as merch goes, a big part of the Pokemon 30th anniversary collection is the Target collab. At the beginning of May, Target launched a new line of exclusive Pokemon products, including clothes, a themed keyboard, and even the long-awaited return of Pokemon Pop-Tarts. As expected, the Pokemon x Target items sold out rather quickly, and so it’s safe to say that many fans missed out. Luckily, it’s now been confirmed that a second drop of the Pokemon x Target collection is on the way, with all-new items inspired by the first three generations of Pokemon.

Specific items revealed so far include puzzles inspired by the first 151 Pokemon from the Kanto region, where each piece reflects the relative size of the Pokemon. Pokedex-inspired graphic tees “with hidden inside-shirt graphics and nostalgic references” will also be available, alongside a backpack, Waterproof Dive Ball speakers, Snorlax and Poke Ball towels, and various summer accessories inspired by Water-type Pokemon.
One of the hottest items in the first drop was the $129.99 Kanto region Starter Jacket, and fans will be happy to know that two more jackets will be available as part of Drop 2. One jacket will be inspired by the Johto region while the other will be inspired by the Hoenn region. The catch is that the jackets will only be available online, so those visiting their local Targets to buy the new Pokemon items will be out of luck.
People scalping items like the Pokemon Pop-Tarts and the genuine high demand for the Drop 1 items caused some headaches, but there will be new rules this time around. Target shoppers will be limited to one unit per item, per guest both online and in stores, which should make it so a lot more Pokemon fans are able to buy what they want. Starting June 7 at 8am CST, there will also be a chance for those that missed out on getting the jackets to pre-order a second wave, which will be delivered later this year and also include the Kanto region jacket from Drop 1.
