Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is going to new heights in its marketing, collaborating with Red Bull and a handful of extreme sports athletes for an exceptionally impressive series of Leap of Faith challenges. This collab with Red Bull is the latest in a series of fun marketing campaigns celebrating Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced in the lead up to its launch this summer.
While the debate over which Assassin’s Creed game is the best could last a lifetime, one thing that’s certain is that Black Flag would rank high on any list. The fourth entry in the mainline Assassin’s Creed series has been widely celebrated for years, and fans finally had their remake requests heard when Ubisoft announced Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced in April 2026, with a close launch date of July 9, 2026. Since then, Ubisoft has been at the forefront of some neat marketing ideas, like a $500,000 treasure hunt to celebrate the upcoming launch of Black Flag Resynced. While the Assassin’s Creed franchise has been known to have some fun with its marketing, including various parkour stunts throughout the years, its latest trick might be its most insane one yet.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced’s New Content is its Sink or Swim Moment
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced’s new additional content needs to be good enough to prove Ubisoft’s recent commitment to high-quality titles.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and Red Bull Break a World Record
In a practically death-defying marketing feat, Red Bull has partnered with Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and taken four extreme sports athletes to the Bahamas, where they have undertaken a crazy Leap of Faith challenge that gets progressively more extreme with each new step. In the ten-minute video, fans can watch as Molly Carlson, Pavel Petkus, Lilou Ruel, and Dominic Tommasso attempt a dive off a cliff, a pirate ship, a sand dune, and finally perform an 18-meter Leap of Faith into a bale of hay. Tommasso’s 18.1-meter Leap of Faith also marks an Assassin’s Creed-themed world record as the highest dive into a bale of hay ever recorded.

This isn’t the first time that the franchise has done real-life parkour and Leaps of Faith stunts for its marketing campaigns, but it certainly could be its most impressive. For Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Ubisoft also partnered up with Red Bull to showcase a series of parkour lines and Leap of Faith stunts across Japan’s Ninja Kingdom. Years before that, Assassin’s Creed Unity also had an impressive parkour gauntlet in its honor in collaboration with American Ninja Warrior.
Obviously, no one should try these stunts at home, but it’s always nice to see Assassin’s Creed take a different approach to its advertising with real people doing real stunts. Part of the franchise’s fantasy has always been that the Templar Order and Assassins could very well be hiding in the shadows in the real world, and stuff like this always breaks the fourth wall and shows that all the neat things fans see in Assassin’s Creed can also be done in real life. It will be fun to see what kind of stunts will be pulled when Assassin’s Creed Hexe is finally revealed.
