Atari and Digital Eclipse have announced Toy Story: Retro Roundup and Toy Story 3: Complete Edition, which will be released on modern platforms later this year. The original Toy Story debuted in theaters in 1995, and the film was accompanied by video game adaptations on several platforms. In the decades since, the Toy Story characters have starred in several games, while also appearing in games alongside other Disney and Pixar properties, such as Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Toy Story: Retro Roundup is an upcoming compilation featuring 11 older games, including adaptations of the first two movies, as well as Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, and Toy Story Racer. Curiously, the collection will also include A Bug’s Life. The Toy Story 2 game has many passionate fans, and the collection could introduce it to a new generation of players. In addition to faithful versions of these games, interviews and behind-the-scenes material will be included. Toy Story 3: Complete Edition was also announced, and will offer a remaster of the 2010 game from Avalanche Software. Both Toy Story: Retro Roundup and Toy Story 3: Complete Edition will be released on October 15.
