Legacy of the Dark Knight for Just $1

Legacy of the Dark Knight for Just

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has been out for two weeks as of this writing, but for a few lucky Steam users, they’ll be able to snag the game for just $1. What’s more, it’s specifically the deluxe edition of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight with all those additional goodies.

The deluxe edition includes the base game, the Legacy Collection, and the Mayhem Collection. The Legacy Collection includes 30 in-game items across 3 themed content packs: The Arkham Trilogy Pack, the Batman Beyond Pack, and the Party Music Pack. Meanwhile, the Mayhem Collection includes the new story mission and Mayhem mode featuring the Joker and Harley Quinn (not available at launch) and the villain-themed Sinister Pack. It’s worth mentioning that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight‘s deluxe edition costs $80, meaning Steam users who get lucky in this new deal will be able to get it way cheaper.

Redeem codes in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight unlock bonus rewards tied to select Batman LEGO sets, including outfits and Batmobile variants.

Fanatical Steam Deal Can Get You a LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight for $1

Fanatical’s Mystery Egg Bundle works essentially like a randomized draw: a group of users pays in, and everyone receives a Steam key in return. The quality of the free Steam game varies widely, though. Most of the rewards tend to be smaller indie titles, but there is still a chance—however—of landing high-profile games, with the latest reset focusing on LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight (Deluxe), Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (Deluxe), Invincible VS (Deluxe), Far Far West, and Doom: The Dark Ages. In the past, this Fanatical deal also included games like Crimson Desert and 007 First Light, so it seems there’s always a slim shot at the biggest, latest AAA games.

The bundle is offered at several price tiers. The entry option starts at $1 for a single mystery Steam key, and buyers can scale up by purchasing packs of 5, 10, 15, 20, or 30 keys, with the largest bundle dropping the cost per key to about $0.66. Each key is randomly assigned, with “Golden Egg” rewards representing the premium tier of AAA games. While the possibility of getting LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight for a dollar or less exists, it’s not guaranteed. Fanatical makes no guarantees regarding this deal, which can range from small-scale indie games to some major AAA games. Buyers should keep that uncertainty in mind before purchasing.

There are two ways to redeem the Steam Keys purchased through Fanatical. First, the manual entry method always works and involves copying the provided key, opening Steam, going to Games, clicking “Activate a Product on Steam,” and pasting the Key. Otherwise, there are benefits of linking their Steam account to Fanatical anyway (which is required). Beyond provided deals, Steam users can link their account (must have spent $5 on it before), claim keys directly through Fanatical for their digital libraries, and claim them much faster.

It bears repeating that there is no guarantee and that this is essentially a raffle, so users should not wantonly spend money they don’t have. That said, if anyone has been waiting to buy LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight on sale and doesn’t mind potentially getting indie games on Steam instead, then there’s little harm in spending a few bucks on this deal.
