PlayStation Plus maintains a strong presence throughout the various Summer Game Fest events, with even one day one PS Plus game getting a release date at a Nintendo Direct, which is hilarious to think about. Nonetheless, the wave of news has created a very busy period for subscribers, but even moreso, it means they know plenty of games that are releasing on the service across the next few months.
In total, counting the biggest drop of PS Plus Extra games confirmed for June 2026 so far, subscribers already know 12 games coming to the service. 8 of those games join their respective PS Plus catalog on June 16, but 1 is slated for July, 2 are slated for August, and 1 is slated for September. Perhaps if there is another major PlayStation showcase this summer, or near the end of it, Sony will make as many upcoming announcements for the fall period, too.
PlayStation Accounts Are Suddenly Being Hacked
It appears that a security loophole involving PlayStation accounts is allowing hackers to gain access to users’ PSN profiles with little difficulty.
At the recent State of Play, Sony gave fans their first look at the PS Plus Premium games for June, July, and August a little early. For June, that included Gitaroo Man—a classic PS2 rhythm game from 2002. Shortly after, Sony revealed the typical slate of PS Plus Extra games, which appear to be celebrating the Summer festivities as well. Final Fantasy 16 is a major headliner, and it’s joined by major names like Sonic X Shadow Generations, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and Life is Strange: Double Exposure. That’s enough to keep someone busy for months, but then there’s a couple more niche games thrown in for good measure: Farming Simulator 25, Blades of Fire, and Black Desert.

PS Plus Premium Game for July Revealed Ahead of Time
Revealed alongside Gitaroo Man was the PS Plus Premium addition of Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy for mid-July. For those unfamiliar, players take on the role of Nick Scryer, a government agent, as he investigates a terrorist group and gets embroiled in a psychic weapons program. That forms the crux of the story, while its physics-driven supernatural powers make its gameplay stand out.

2 PS Plus Games Confirmed for August Ahead of Time
Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams was the third PS Plus Premium game announced at the State of Play, while Big Walk’s release date (and thus day one PS Plus release date of August 4) was announced at the Nintendo Direct. Big Walk is a friendslop game that’s similar in vibe to Peak, while Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams would be a great pickup ahead of the newest game, Way of the Sword, which releases in September.

Finally, Runescape: Dragonwilds appeared at most major Summer Game Fest events, and it was confirmed to join PS Plus Extra day one in September. It’s an open-world survival game based on the beloved Runescape IP, and while it’s been in early access on PC, its console release marks its 1.0 benchmark and the IP’s first time on consoles. It is co-op, so there’s a good chance it ends up being THE co-op PS Plus game of the end of the year.
