The Love and Deepspace fans dedicated to Valko, who would have been the game’s sixth love interest if the gacha game’s developer hadn’t cancelled him in the face of extreme fan backlash, aren’t letting their sexy werewolf guy go down without a fight. Fans around the world have taken up his cause, demonstrating their continued and abiding love for the dearly departed dog boy in all sorts of creative ways—including dildos.
The creators at XenoCat Artifacts—an adult toy manufacturer based in the United States—are producing an exclusive colorway for one of their alien sex toys in Valko’s honor. (This is wildly NSFW so beware.) The Wild Hearts toy will include certain “anatomical features” that’ll be familiar to connoisseurs of werewolf smut, as well as coloring that’s meant to mimic Valko’s skin and hair. Erebos, the lead artist and CEO of XenoCat Artifacts, told Kotaku in an email that she and other creators at the company were fans of Love and Deepspace and were looking forward to Valko’s arrival. “When we saw Valko, we knew we wanted to make his debut something special and to offer a new exclusive reimagined color to our lineup to compliment his character,” she wrote. Erebos said that Valko’s cancellation was upsetting and that she’s taking a break from the game, which has given her more time to keep up with the demand for the Valko toy. “We don’t want to be another promise broken to the player base,” she wrote.
Elsewhere in the world, support for Valko since his unceremonious cancellation has not let up, with fans taking it upon themselves to let the developers at Infold Games know that #valkoisloved. They’ve bought billboards in Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore and other countries. Last week, a Love and Deepspace fan group based in New York hosted a meetup in Times Square featuring a Valko cosplayer and billboard trucks playing videos emblazoned with the rallying cry #bringbackvalko.

Definitely not a billboard that will be stopping every few minutes on 43rd and 7th until 8pm for photos. And also stopping at 5:55~6:05 for definitely not a meet up pic.twitter.com/x8rK590FPT

Fans have also engaged in a kind of philanthropic protest, putting the money they say would have been spent on Valko in the game toward toward charity organizations, donating over $10,000 to a New York wolf conservatory.
It’s not clear whether this global outpouring of love will have its intended effect. In addition to these public displays of affection, fans are also attempting a straight-up boycott of the game, refusing to log in until either Valko is restored or Infold makes some kind of public statement regarding his cancellation. The English Love and Deepspace account on X hasn’t posted since July 9th, the day Valko was supposed to make his debut, while community managers in the English Love and Deepspace Discord have remained similarly silent, as have official PR channels when emailed for comment. Pro-Valko fans have taken it upon themselves to fill in the communication gap with inspiring messages to keep the boycott going, detailed posts breaking down Love and Deepspace marketing for clues that Valko is soon to return, personal essays on how much Valko means to the community, fanart, and, in the case of XenoCat Artifacts, sex toys.
“We are hoping that this specialty color can bring Valko home in all new ways to the folks who felt like we didn’t get a fair chance to enjoy their companionship in game,” Erebos wrote.
