We’re a little over two weeks removed from Sony’s announcement that PlayStation discs will no longer be manufactured after 2028, and physical media fans are still taking any opportunity they can find to yell at the company, whether it be on social media, the official PlayStation Blog, or its YouTube channel. It’s gotten so bad that studios can’t so much as promote their games on a PlayStation platform without catching strays. But it turns out there is one type of game that commenters can’t reach: kids and family games.

Instant Sports 2, a party game that is now available on PlayStation 5, might not look like anything out of the ordinary, but its trailer is one of the few that are safe from the onslaught of physical disc advocates because Sony doesn’t allow comments on family friendly games, presumably because little kids might be seeking out these trailers and Sony would rather them not see anything untoward. As of this writing, PlayStation has put up several different trailers today, and each of them, whether they’re advertising a big update to Fortnite or a smaller game like retro sports parody Pro Jank Footy, is being flooded with pro-disc comments.
Another game affected by this barrage of physical disc support is Denshattack!, the super cool anime train Tony Hawk-like that launched yesterday on multiple platforms, but its launch trailer is full of comments that are at least making good puns about the situation.
