Final Fantasy 14 Unveils The Bastion Tank and a Long-Awaited Collab
Following the extended Evercold trailer, Yoshida took to the stage at the 2026 Berlin FanFest event to share more details about the new expansion. Final Fantasy 14’s latest Job is called the Bastion, which utilizes a unique set of weapons called “Skyltborg.” In short, the Skyltborg are gun-shields that are capable of both close-range damage and firing mid-ranged projectiles to deter foes and protect allies. Yoshida came to the stage in a cosplay of the Bastion, much to the delight of the Berlin crowd. Later in the keynote, Yoshida surprised fans by confirming that Evercold‘s 8-player raid series was a collaboration with the Final Fantasy 7 Remake series. The raid series, titled “Beyond the Lifestream,” will be developed alongside members of the FF7 Remake development team. The first tier of the FF7 Remake raid series in Evercold will arrive in early 2027, some time before the launch of Final Fantasy 7 Revelation.
