Now, a new listing on SteamDb indicates that Lord of the Rings: War in the North is getting a new release in the form of Lord of the Rings: War in the North – Legacy Edition. Based on the title, it’s extremely likely that this is a remaster or remake of the original Lord of the Rings: War in the North that launched 15 years ago. The game listing was spotted on July 30, with the database indicating that the game will be released for PC, and it will likely utilize Unreal Engine, based on an EpicOnlineServices SDK inclusion in the listing. The game is tagged as offering co-op and local co-op, and still offers a singleplayer option, as well. While the database entry is legitimate, it’s not clear if the game is coming soon, as the listing indicates that the title was originally added to the database back in 2023. Now that it’s been updated, though, it’s possible that the developers are getting ready to launch the game game in the near future on Steam.
