Ever since the first GTA 6 trailer was revealed, the game has continued to wreak havoc on the gaming calendar. Looking at this year’s late summer/early fall lineup is a clear example of that. September and October are creating a bottleneck that leaves November and December completely empty apart from the GTA 6 release date, because no developer wants to launch around the same time as the Rockstar game. That’s smart on the developers’ part, but it has also caused huge gaps within the year.
Games coming out in September like Marvel’s Wolverine, The Blood of Dawnwalker, and Control Resonant are going to make it hard to decide which titles to prioritize, while October has its own offering of major AAA heavy hitters like Gears of War: E-Day and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. It’s two months of back-to-back huge releases, and it feels pretty obvious that it’s because developers are wanting to get a chance at the spotlight before GTA 6 arrives.

Everything that Playground Games has revealed of Fable is teasing a wonderfully rich fantasy world that deserves its fair share of attention. With a great cast led by MCU star Hayley Atwell as main villain Isabel and almost every one of the handcrafted NPCs being romanceable, Fable could prove to be an incredibly fun RPG.
Even Though Another GTA 6 Delay Isn’t Off the Table, Gamers Will Finally Get a New Update Soon
The GTA 6 pre-order announcement was accompanied by a lot of great new images to tease the game, but what I and practically every other gamer has been interested in is more footage. GTA 6‘s third trailer has even inspired some to develop in-depth and wild conspiracy theories to try and pinpoint when Rockstar plans on releasing the next sneak peek. Thankfully, this month is finally bringing something fresh for fans to look forward to.
Gamers Will Want to Mark Their Calendars for August 27
Rockstar recently announced that there will be a GTA 6 extended look on August 27. The event will premiere on Netflix, and it’s expected to be the biggest dive into GTA 6 we have seen yet. Rockstar hasn’t revealed any details about what to expect, but considering it’s just a few months away from the release date, it’s probably going to be significant.
GTA 6‘s Netflix sneak peek will be available at 3PM E.T. However, gamers who don’t have a Netflix subscription won’t be missing out. Rockstar will upload the deep dive to the developer’s official YouTube channel at 9PM on the same day.
There is one thing fans are going to have to consider, though. A deeper look into GTA 6‘s story and gameplay is going to be huge, but that still doesn’t mean the game is safe from a delay. There is always the chance that a release date change could also be announced during the event. Only time will tell, so the only way to really know for sure is to tune into the showcase.
After so many years of waiting, games like GTA 6 and Fable being so close is surreal. Despite these games featuring two completely different kinds of worlds, they share some compelling similarities. Deep, immersive worlds make up the backbone of both titles, so the duo is bound to attract fans of great open-world games. A new GTA 6 delay doesn’t seem as likely as it once did, but if Rockstar decides to surprise everyone in the coming weeks, Fable would be the best choice to take its place in order to keep November from being a total dead zone.
