One of the highest-rated games of 2026 appears to be headed to Xbox in the near future, with Mewgenics appearing on the Xbox Store. Mewgenics has been one of the biggest indie success stories of 2026, developed by the original creator of The Binding of Isaac.

An official listing for Mewgenics recently appeared on the Xbox Store, suggesting that the game will soon receive an Xbox release. The listing for the game appears to suggest it will launch for Xbox Series X/S, complete with Xbox achievements and support for keyboard and mouse. The store page also suggests that the new version of Mewgenics will be published by indie game developer-publisher Nicalis, despite previous conflicts between Mewgenics creator Edmund McMillen and Nicalis. Neither Microsoft nor McMillen has officially announced an Xbox Series X/S release for Mewgenics yet.
