Diablo 4 Season 14 still has a few weeks left to go until its conclusion, but with the meta completely set in stone, it has quickly become clear that the Druid is its best class. Season 14 is expected to conclude on September 15, 2026, and after almost two months, it is the Druid that Diablo 4 players have used to clear the Pit and Tower most efficiently throughout.
In every single Diablo 4 season, Blizzard introduces important balance changes to refresh the game’s meta. This is crucial because many players play every season. For it to still feel fresh, the classes need to feel distinctly different, or else there would be next to no reason to return. The developer doesn’t always get it right, with some classes dominating the meta across several seasons. However, this season’s resurgence of the Druid shows the impact these changes can have.
Diablo 4 Druid Players Dominate Pit and Tower Season 14 Leaderboards
A look at the Helltides unofficial Pit and Tower leaderboards for Diablo 4 Season 14 reveals that the best runs for both across all classes have come from Druid players. Both Diablo 4 endgame activities have been completed at Tier 150 with Druids, with a Pit time of 1 minute and 52 seconds, and a Tower time of 1 minute and 51 seconds. This makes it by far the best class in the current meta. By comparison, the Sorcerer is second-best in the Pit, with the quickest registered run being 6 minutes and 11 seconds – over four minutes slower than the best Druid. It’s the same story in the Tower, too, where the quickest non-Druid run came from a Barbarian, who completed it in 6 minutes and 25 seconds.

The Season 14 leaderboards mark a big improvement for the Druid. Back in Season 13, it was second-to-last in the Pit leaderboards, registering the seventh-quickest clear at Tier 150, only ahead of the Paladin. Historically, the best performance of the Druid (when compared to other Diablo 4 classes) came in Seasons 7 and 10, where it was the second-best class, so Season 14 is a great showing.
It’s worth remembering that there are still three weeks of Season 14 to go, so it’s technically possible for another class to steal away the “best class” title at the final moment. But at this point, the meta is set in stone, and with Blizzard focused on delivering Diablo 4 Season 15, balance changes are extremely unlikely for the remainder of the current season. And with the enormous gap in the Pit and Tower clears between the Druid and every other class in the game, the possibility of anyone bridging that gap between now and September 15 feels extremely unlikely.
Earlier in Diablo 4 Season 14, it looked as though the Rogue was going to be the best class, which would have marked two consecutive seasons that it had stomped the leaderboards. However, in late July, Blizzard issued a Rogue fix, resolving an issue that was allowing players to gain what was essentially infinite damage. Since then, the class has fallen off considerably, only sitting at fifth place in both the Pit and Tower leaderboards.
