Gaming is expensive, so we should all take advantage of any free games whenever they become available. Throughout September 2026, Steam, Epic Games Store, Amazon Prime Gaming, and other stores will hand out free PC games to anybody who shows up in time to claim them. Most giveaways feature smaller indie titles, but well-known AAA games aren’t out of the question either, and the lineup constantly changes.

Console players aren’t treated to complete freebies all that often, but they can at least look forward to new games being added to PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass​​​​​​. Both subscription services add a bunch of big titles each month, and September 2026 will be no exception.

Amazon Prime Gaming, aka Amazon Luna, might be the most underappreciated platform for free PC games on the market. OK, technically, accessing these titles requires an Amazon Prime subscription, so they aren’t really free; however, nobody gets that service specifically for games. If you are an Amazon Prime subscriber, there is absolutely no reason to not add each one of these games, especially since they often include some pretty notable names.

Alienware Arena Marketplace is a lesser-known platform for collecting freebies, but you can do just that by spending Arena Reward Points. Most of these offers require quite a hefty investment, but Dwarven Realms is an exception.
