Reunion Release Officially Available Now

Life is Strange fans have another reason to revisit one of the series’ most important characters, as Chloe Price continues to find her way back into the spotlight. The character has remained a major part of the franchise since the original Life is Strange, and her story has taken several different directions depending on the choices players make, especially with Life is Strange: Reunion.

Life is Strange: Reunion brings back Chloe Price and tells two different stories with her, depending on choices players made in past Life is Strange games. It was a largely triumphant return, and now Chloe’s story is getting another chapter.

Life is Strange: Out of Focus is Available Now

Life is Strange: Out of Focus, a Chloe Price-focused prequel to Life is Strange: Reunion, is a brand-new release from Titan Books written by Rosiee Thor. The story follows Chloe and Izzie Margolis as members of the band Drugstore Makeup, with the two heading out on tour while trying to record new music and figure out what comes next for the group. The story puts Chloe in a very different situation from the one fans may remember from the games. Instead of focusing on supernatural mysteries or the events surrounding Arcadia Bay, Out of Focus follows Chloe as she navigates life with a band. Her relationship with Izzie also plays an important role as the two deal with the pressures that come with touring and trying to keep their musical ambitions alive, though Chloe is already dealing with the dreams discussed in Life is Strange: Reunion.

Life is Strange: Out of Focus is 256 pages and is being published by Titan Books. The paperback is priced at $18.99 in the US and Canada, with the book also available in other regions. It was released on September 1, 2026.

For longtime Life is Strange fans, Chloe’s continued presence in the franchise is especially notable. Her story has already been revisited in several forms over the years, as Life is Strange: Before the Storm is a prequel to LiS 1, and now Out of Focus offers a completely different look at the character (as a prequel, once again). That said, Chloe is and always will be Chloe, and there are references to the past as well, not just the events of Reunion.

As I wrote in my Life is Strange: Reunion review, I felt like Double Exposure struggled to answer why Max’s return was a story worth telling, especially after the traumatic events of the first game. With Chloe’s return, I found my answer: “From the moment Life is Strange: Reunion begins to the very last choice, that answer is woven into every conversation, every contemplative moment, and every relationship. The answer lives in the same way Max Caulfield and Chloe Price navigate the weight of their pasts, the burdens of their present, and the uncertainty of their futures.
