Leaked LEGO PlayStation 1 Images Reveal Impressive Easter Eggs

LEGO‘s long-rumored PlayStation 1 72306 set has just received yet another leak. This time, full images of the LEGO PlayStation 1 set have leaked, showing the brick-built console in all its glory, along with some extra components that reference some beloved PS1 titles.

Over the last six years, LEGO has released an assortment of sets inspired by the world of retro video games. The very first of these was LEGO’s Nintendo Entertainment System set in August 2020, which was eventually followed by a SEGA Genesis Controller gift-with-purchase, an Atari 2600, a Pac-Man arcade cabinet, a Game Boy, and the recently released LEGO Donkey Kong arcade machine. Along with capturing the overall visual designs of these iconic pieces of gaming history, LEGO tends to include an array of Easter eggs in these sets. And according to its most recent leak, the LEGO PlayStation 1 set will be no exception.

First leaked back in March, LEGO is seemingly getting ready to release a full set inspired by the original Sony PlayStation. In this initial leak, it was claimed that LEGO’s PS1 set would retail for around $160, would feature 1,911 pieces, and would release in December 2026. This set has received several major leaks since, and its latest arrived on September 1. Over on r/Legoleak, a brand-new report from renowned leaker Brick Tap has been shared, claiming to reveal the very first official images of the upcoming LEGO PlayStation set.

Obtained by a Brick Tap member who allegedly found them in an unnamed store, these two leaked images provide an excellent, albeit unofficial, overview of LEGO’s PS1 set. As previous leaks claimed, this LEGO PS1 set seems to be recreating the original version of the beloved console, complete with its power, reset, and open buttons, its side vents, and a lid that actually opens up. This set also includes a brick-built PS1 controller, which attaches to the console via a short cable and blocky controller port.

Just like the Atari 2600 LEGO set, this upcoming PlayStation LEGO set will also include at least two dioramas that recreate some iconic PS1 game worlds. By default, these two dioramas take up the interior portion of the LEGO PS1 model, but they can slide out from each side of the console to give users easier access. These diorama game worlds seem to be inspired by Gran Turismo and Ape Escape, with the logos of each franchise being clearly visible in the leaked images.

Another key detail that was first leaked back in July and is repeated here is that the LEGO PlayStation set will come with a free Astro Bot-inspired gift-with-purchase. Though the design and piece-count of this Astro Bot set are still unknown, it will reportedly be available to those who purchase the LEGO PS1 via the LEGO Store. This latest leak also seems to suggest that an October 1 release is now more likely for this PS1 set.
