Z-A Players Have Only Until September 17 to Get Free Rare Rewards

Pokemon Legends: Z-A players can get rare items easily and for free, but they only have a few days to do so. Pokemon Legends: Z-A came out in 2025 and was quickly followed by the Mega Dimension DLC, and together, they added a lot of new Mega Evolutions to the series. Some of these Pokemon are being introduced in Pokemon Champions via seasonal updates, and this is where their new movesets and abilities are fully revealed and put to the test.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s Mega Golisopod and Mega Baxcalibur returned to the franchise in a recent Pokemon Champions update, and they are already powerhouse critters. Mega Golisopod, specifically, is seeing a lot of use due to its newly boosted First Impression move combined with Tough Claws to further increase its damage. Unlike the Gen 6 starters, which required fans to have played Legends: Z-A first to get their respective Mega Stones in Pokemon Champions, this is not the case for Mega Baxcalibur. For those who are still playing Pokemon Legends: Z-A, there are rare rewards fans can get entirely for free for a short time.

New Pokemon Legends: Z-A Code Gives Players Free Items

Pokemon Legends: Z-A players can now claim some new items via Mystery Gift, all of which may come in handy once the Mega Dimension DLC goes live.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A Fans Have Limited Time to Get Free Rewards

Pokemon Legends: Z-A Season 16 is ending on September 17, but players can now get rare Poke Balls just by playing Ranked Battles. These are normally hard to get, especially the rarest Poke Balls in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, like Safari Balls, Beast Balls, Sport Balls, and Dream Balls, as they are mostly obtained in Ranked Battles or in the Mega Dimension DLC with Poke Ball-specific Donuts from Ansha. Instead, Season 16 gives multiple copies of each of these rare Poke Balls when ranking up, and players can now very easily get to Rank A all the way from Rank Z in one or two play sessions. By reaching Rank A, fans can get more than 130 rare Poke Balls. The rewards are as follows:

  • Lure Ball & Moon Ball: Every rank, from Rank Y to Rank U, for a total of five copies each.
  • Lure Ball, Moon Ball, and Love Ball: Every rank, from Rank T to Rank P, for a total of five copies each.
  • Heavy Ball, Level Ball, Friend Ball, and Fast Ball: Every rank, from Rank O to Rank K, for a total of five copies each.
  • Heavy Ball, Love Ball, Level Ball, Friend Ball, and Fast Ball: Every rank, from Rank J to Rank F, for a total of five copies each.
  • Beast Ball, Safari Ball, Sport Ball, and Dream Ball: Two copies per rank in both Rank E and Rank D, three copies at Rank C, four copies at Rank B, and five copies at Rank A.

Normally, a Tier 3 Poke Ball Donut from Ansha awards something in the ballpark of 30–40 Poke Balls, but it’s hard to craft, and the rewards are not guaranteed to be rare. Instead, the Ranked Battles in Pokemon Legends: Z-A only require players to run some PvP matches with a specific ruleset, where only Pokemon with a Mega Evolution are allowed. This also makes for a fun game mode because it limits what kind of critters one can bring to the field, and it allows fans to use any of the three Megas per battle multiple times, depending on which is best against opponents.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution-exclusive seasons can be some of the most unique in the game, and on top of Poke Balls, fans can also earn Mega Shards at the end of the season. Since Season 16 ends very soon, the end-of-season rewards will be delivered on September 17.
