I love Pikachu. I love him in all his forms, whether that be as Pichu, Pikachu, Raichu, his Mega Evolutions, or his big ol’ fat Gigantamax version. Don’t talk to me about the Alolan Raichu regional variant. I don’t know her.
The Pokémon Trading Card Game is celebrating the franchise’s 30th anniversary with a new set, and within these packs there are 34 cards of Pikachu specifically, with each variant having different rarity, in-game effects, and art. I don’t go out of my way to collect Pokémon cards because the scalpers have scared me away and I’d rather pay a hefty price for one card I want than lose a bunch of money buying packs to find my chase card. These, however? I’m giving some serious thought to buying a nice frame and collecting all 34 Pikachus to display. I figured since I’m already looking at them and crying about how much I love my little yellow son, I would rank them all from best to best and we can bask in his adorable glory together? Let’s go!
