Steam has spent much of 2026 giving PC players another reason to keep checking the platform’s Free to Keep promotions. The program offers a mixture of games, expansions, and smaller pieces of content, with the biggest appeal being simple: anything claimed as part of Steam’s Free-to-Keep Promotion during its promotional period can be kept forever. Steam is now continuing that trend into October with another group of giveaways already confirmed for the month, with more likely to be confirmed and/or drop randomly throughout the month.
The October lineup is not built around one particular type of game, either. Steam is covering racing games, hunting games, survival games, and more, while also including new DLC for existing games. Some of the giveaways are complete experiences, while others are additional content for players who already own the associated game (or are planning to pick it up). That makes the October selection a little different from a standard batch of free PC games.

Via Steam’s backend information, 5 giveaways have been confirmed for Steam’s Free to Keep promotion in October 2026: MXGP 26 – Scrubdesignz Liveries, Gear.Club Unlimited 3 Gear.Club Signature Pack, Hunting Simulator 3 – Classic American Hunter Pack, Fireside Feelings, and Rotwood – DLC 1. The lineup gives Steam users several different types of content to claim throughout the month, with Fireside Feelings standing out as the full Steam game among a group that otherwise includes DLC and content packs. No dates have been confirmed yet, but the cosmetic DLC for MXGP 26, Gear Club Unlimited 3, and Hunting Simulator 3 are expected to release day-and-date with the game.

The racing side of the promotion is represented by MXGP 26 and Gear.Club Unlimited 3. Steam is giving away the Scrubdesignz Liveries for MXGP 26, while Gear.Club Unlimited 3 is getting the Gear.Club Signature Pack. Neither giveaway is a standalone game, but both add new content to their respective racing experiences. Players who are looking forward to these new 2026 games will have the clearest reason to keep an eye on these offers when they become available.
Hunting Simulator 3 is also getting additional content through the Classic American Hunter Pack, while Rotwood players will be able to pick up DLC 1 as part of the October promotion. Fireside Feelings, meanwhile, provides something different from the rest of the lineup, as it is a narrative- and dialogue-heavy cozy game.
At the end of the day, the confirmed list of Steam Free-to-Keep giveaways for October isn’t going to be for everyone. That said, one of its biggest benefits is how often content circulates through and still manages to surprise with new releases. Those unimpressed should know more will no doubt come to the promotion throughout the month, plus Steam’s Free Weekend promotions are in a completely different ballpark too.
