Grand Theft Auto 6 recently announced its $400 collector’s edition, and it’s invited a whole lot of criticism. While plenty of gamers have expressed their disappointment over GTA 6‘s collector’s box, they haven’t been the only ones to throw shade at Rockstar Games in the last few days, with even the official Rayman Twitter account having a pop.
Announced during the June 2026 PlayStation State of Play, Rayman Legends Retold is a full remake of the 2013 side-scrolling platformer Rayman Legends. While the game’s Snowdrop Engine-powered visuals and performance are the remake’s biggest selling points, Rayman Legends Retold is also adding brand-new levels, new dragon-riding gameplay sequences, and a whole new world. Though it was originally set to launch on October 1, Ubisoft recently delayed Rayman Legends Retold to December 3, explaining the delay as a way to “make sure every detail gets the care it deserves.”
Rayman Legends Retold Pokes Fun at GTA 6’s Collector’s Edition
On September 24, Rockstar Games officially announced the long-rumored Grand Theft Auto 6 collector’s edition. Retailing for $400 (and now sold out), the GTA 6 ‘Vice City Collection’ is a box that contains a figurine, some Oakley sunglasses, a New Era hat, a mirror, a shot glass, a spoon, a bag, a keychain, some stickers and pins, and a map of the in-game state of Leonida. This $400 box garnered immediate attention online for its lofty price tag and the fact it doesn’t include a copy of GTA 6 at all.

Even major publishers are seizing the opportunity to jump on the bandwagon and publicly criticize Rockstar Games. The official Rayman Twitter account, for instance, just took a shot at GTA 6. In a post sharing the contents of Rayman Legends Retold‘s Launch Edition, the account teases that it “might not have a Glade of Dreams Collection,” but that its $40 Launch Edition does come with some physical goodies and “a copy of BOTH Rayman Legends Retold and Origins: Enhanced Edition.”
Given that this Rayman post was made just a day after Rockstar announced its controversial GTA 6 Vice City Collection — and that it makes a point of stating that Rayman Legends Retold‘s Launch Edition comes with an actual copy of the game — this seems to be a clear poke at Rockstar Games. And just in case there was any doubt about the post’s intentions, it concludes with a winking-face emoji.

This shot at GTA 6 hasn’t been made carelessly. Those who purchase Rayman Legends Retold‘s Launch Edition are actually getting a lot of bang for their $40. As teased in the social media post above, buying a copy of Rayman Legends Retold will also give players a copy of Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition, a full game in its own right and a brand-new remaster of the 2011 platformer. Those who buy the Launch Edition of Rayman Legends Retold are also getting a handful of physical goodies, such as a printed map, a unique slipcase, and a set of three lithographs.
