Magic: The Gathering has officially confirmed three brand-new crossovers coming to the game, adding cards based on Marvel Zombies, KPop Demon Hunters, and Jim Henson’s Labyrinth. The crossovers will serve as Magic‘s major Halloween release for 2026.
Magic: The Gathering has gone all-in on its crossover content in 2026, launching three full collab sets with a fourth on the way. Wizards of the Coast has already launched full sets adding cards from properties like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Marvel Super Heroes, and The Hobbit as part of its major set releases for the year. The card game also has one more on the way as its final 2026 expansion, debuting a plethora of cards based around the Star Trek franchise. Now, Wizards of the Coast’s next big Secret Lair is introducing several exciting new crossovers to the game for the first time.
Magic: The Gathering Is Adding Multiple Crossovers in October 2026
- Secret Lair x Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: Fear Me, Love Me
- Secret Lair x Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: Should You Need Us
- Secret Lair x Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: Through the Labyrinth
- Secret Lair x KPop Demon Hunters: How It’s Done
- Secret Lair x Marvel: Zombies
Wizards of the Coast officially unveiled the three crossovers releasing as part of the Corn Maze Superdrop Secret Lair. Marvel: Zombies will be a spooky new collaboration with the comic book juggernaut, featuring zombified versions of beloved superheroes like Captain America and Scarlet Witch. The KPop Demon Hunters crossover brings the smash-hit animated Netflix film to Magic, putting the members of HUNTR/X on some of Magic‘s most iconic cards, including Underworld Breach and Unbreakable Formation. Jim Henson’s Labyrinth serves as the game’s first collaboration with the beloved Muppets creator, bringing stylized reprints of cards like Sarah as Jodah, the Unifier and Jareth as Muxus, Goblin Grandee.
Magic: The Gathering‘s Secret Lairs have been one of Wizards of the Coast’s most common ways of introducing new crossovers. The special promo releases often include reprints of some of the game’s highly-sought-after cards, as well as occasionally introducing entirely new cards to the game. Wizards of the Coast has even used Secret Lairs to produce full special decks for sale, including the recent Hatsune Miku Commander Deck and the popular Goblin Storm Commander Deck, which saw the company limit sales of each deck to one per customer.
The new assortment of Secret Lair cards are far from the only crossover content coming to the game. The previously-mentioned Star Trek set is scheduled to release in November 2026, introducing autographed cards to Magic: The Gathering for the first time with its headliner chase cards. Wizards of the Coast has also hinted at future crossover sets planned for the game, with the game’s partnership with Marvel expected to continue into the future and explore more of the company’s different properties.
With even more new cards on the horizon, many fans have questioned Wizards of the Coast’s ability to continue printing sets on schedule. The recent Reality Fracture expansion was hit with multiple delays, pushing back shipments of everything from Collector Booster boxes to the set’s Commander Decks. Magic: The Gathering has even confirmed that one of the products planned for Star Trek had to be shelved, cancelling the new-player-focused Beginner Boxes for the set. Fans can only hope that Magic‘s new crossovers do not see similar delays and can get into the hands of collectors and players faster.
