Star Wars fans, especially in the realm of gaming, love little sci-fi weirdos. Respawn’s BD-1 in Star Wars Jedi? Little weirdo. Respawn’s Turgle also in Star Wars Jedi? Little Weirdo. Kabb Uppercut in Star Wars ZCOM? Bigger, but still a little weirdo. And with all the new characters introduced in Star Wars: Galactic Racer, it is the excellent acting and portrayal of little weirdo Biddy Blas that is rightfully getting the most attention.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer brings back familiar faces like Sebulba, but most characters tied to the Galactic League are brand new. Because players mostly race the same handful of characters every race, they are fully fleshed out and sometimes encountered when returning to a planet’s surface. These are Star Wars: Galactic Racer’s Rivals, and among them is the Huttese-speaking crocodilian racer, Biddy Blas.
Scrib-Doon!
Several images and clips of Biddy Blas have gone viral on social media like Twitter, with one joking that Biddy Blas’ lines were just “vaguely alien-sounding words for like 4-to-6 sentences.” Biddy Blas actor Richard Summers-Calvert chimed in to explain that this was the official Huttese language in the Star Wars universe, with the actor being equipped with a dictionary, pronunciation guide, and more to play Biddy Blas. In fact, Summers-Calvert even goes as far as to say that he knows more Huttese now than any French learned in school. Indeed, it’s the combination of accurate Huttese actually sounding like a language and the unique excitement found in Biddy Blas’ performance that make this character stand out.

The reaction has steadily grown. Now Biddy Blas’ “SCrib-doon!” has quickly become a “vocal stim” for the fandom, everyone is talking about the “glup shitto” that is Biddy Blas, and everyone loves how he’s a mama’s boy (what a pinchable face). Most importantly, the Kendalorian asked an all-important question: Where is the Star Wars: Galactic Racer Biddy Blas Collector’s Edition with a statue of Biddy Blas? It’s also canon now that Biddy Blas won the Nobel Peace Prize; there’s no denying it.
Of course, the Star Wars community has already done what it does best and adopted Biddy Blas as its latest little weirdo. The character may have arrived as just another Rival in Star Wars: Galactic Racer, but the reaction to his Huttese dialogue, expressive face, and lovable personality has turned him into one of the game’s most talked-about new characters.
Whether Biddy Blas gets his own merchandise, a statue, or simply continues living rent-free in the fandom’s collective brain, he has already accomplished something pretty impressive: briefly bringing a very divided Star Wars fandom together over one weird little crocodilian racer, however briefly it may last.
