Pokemon is bringing back Mew and Mewtwo in a new official 30th anniversary release scheduled for November 6, both with new designs. This year has been unique for the franchise so far, with plenty of exclusive events, releases, and games meant to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary. November and December are no less packed, but while many fans hoped Gen 10 would release in the coming months, that won’t happen. The next entries in the mainline Pokemon series will come in 2027, presumably in the latter half of the year.
Pokemon Winds and Waves will be a massive release for the series, but what’s in store for the franchise as a whole encompasses all games and critters. A new Pokemon TCG release was officially confirmed for October 23, the November Community Day for Pokemon GO has been revealed, and Pokopia currently has a Halloween event active. Celebrations for the 30th anniversary are year-round, but as the holiday season of 2026 gets closer, new Pokemon releases are being revealed. Now, a release dedicated to Mew and Mewtwo is officially coming in just two weeks.
Pokemon’s Mew and Mewtwo Making a Comeback in November 2026
A brand-new Pokemon TCG release called “Pokemon TCG: 30th Celebration Figure Collection – Mew & Mewtwo” will be available worldwide on November 6, including five 30th Celebration booster packs, foil promos for Mew and Mewtwo, and official Mew and Mewtwo figures with new designs. The MSRP for this release is $29.99 for each box, so $59.98 for both, but they are already out of stock on most websites ahead of launch, with ads on eBay going for $200 for both boxes. While Nintendo’s official stance against scalping has been effective for the 30th Celebration set, exclusive releases with physical goods that are otherwise unavailable are easier to resell for higher prices. The Mew figure features flowers as a background, whereas the new Mewtwo design features dark crystals similar to those of 7-Star Tera Raids in Gen 9 games.

Pokemon TCG‘s 30th Celebration set has been received very well by fans and features generous pull rates, which, combined with ample availability of the various products online, made scalping much less appealing. Cards quickly plummeted under $100 for most of the rare pulls in the set, with only a handful of extremely rare Mew cards being still in the thousands of dollars in terms of value. The new “Pokemon TCG: 30th Celebration Figure Collection – Mew & Mewtwo” release allows fans to get into the 30th Celebration set easily or extend their collection, all while getting detailed, high-quality figures for the incredibly iconic Pokemon. These are not the only figures planned for the game, either, as another Pokemon release unveiled new Eeveelution designs for Eevee and all of its evolutions.

Despite Nintendo’s efforts, issues with prices and scalping of TCG cards and products remain. Just recently, Umbreon broke a world record with a $1,000,000 sale, appearing on an old, rare card exclusive to Japan’s Daisuki Club.
The game keeps on featuring exclusive cards as promos for collaborations or events, though, and these often get sold for unthinkable amounts of money compared to their MSRP. Next month, a new Pokemon TCG McDonald’s release will become available, including several cards that will be otherwise unobtainable.
