Rockstar’s latest Grand Theft Auto 6 gallery was officially released on November 5, 2026. It features 39 screenshots showcasing Vice City, as well as some other parts of Leonida ahead of the title’s November 19 launch. Obviously, Vice City is getting a lot of attention as usual, which makes sense considering its beautiful beaches, neon lights, and flamboyant vibe. After all, it is already one of the most recognizable locations in the entire franchise.
However, we are already well aware of the fact that GTA 6 will be a lot more than its headline city. Rockstar’s official materials have given us yet another reason to believe that the rest of Leonida will probably have just as much to offer as the main city. From smaller communities to huge natural landscapes, it appears that the state will feature an insane amount of variety. This is a huge opportunity for Rockstar Games to fully showcase its world-building potential and show players that there are just as many adventures awaiting outside of Vice City’s busy streets.
Leonida’s Smaller Communities Could Be GTA 6’s Biggest Strength

Many players would agree that Leonida’s many smaller communities might actually turn out to be more interesting than it initially seems. So far, it appears that the idea is for every location to have its own distinct identity instead of simply existing as an extension of Vice City. To be fair, this is quite an ambitious task, but knowing what Rockstar Games is capable of, combined with the 13 years of waiting for the release of GTA 6, there is actually a huge possibility that we will be seeing one of the most successfully developed and immersive open worlds in the industry so far. According to the studio’s official descriptions, there’s a lot more to these places than their appearances, as each one has its own local culture and social environment.
Find the odd one out before the timer hits zero.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make every location in the game memorable and authentic as well. The studio wouldn’t even have to make all areas huge and filled with impressive landmarks as most other open-world games try to do; sometimes the people who live there, their values, and way of communicating are the qualities that can make a certain place feel truly special. So, if Rockstar Games manages to play its cards right, even smaller towns could leave a lasting impression that rivals Vice City. Of course, it’s important to remember that Leonida is not just about its cities and towns, as Rockstar has also showcased several natural environments that look completely different from the usual setting in Vice City.
Vice City could remain the game’s most recognizable destination without necessarily becoming its most memorable one.
To give an example, the Grassrives introduce an expansive swamp landscape, while Mount Kalaga National Park is all about its rugged wilderness setting. There is also the Leonida Keys area, which brings a beautiful coastal scenery into the mix. Overall, locations like these could be yet another opportunity for exciting exploration, because if one is constantly surrounded by traffic, the world will quickly start losing not only its resemblance to reality but also the excitement it brings. And even though no specific wildlife interactions have been confirmed when it comes to Leonida’s wilderness, it is definitely a thrilling possibility.
In general, many would agree that there is just something about getting into a vehicle and just driving through a game’s open world without a specific direction. Obviously, there will be plenty of opportunities for players to do so in Grand Theft Auto 6, but the point is that this time people will be able to drive through so many different locations and cultures that, eventually, they will have immersed themselves in a world just as diverse as the one outside. This is also an opportunity to make the world feel like one enormous, connected place instead of a collection of separate destinations with nothing between them.
GTA 6’s Greatest Opportunity Goes Beyond Vice City
Perhaps the strongest indication that Leonida will be more than just a pretty backdrop is that Rockstar has already confirmed that GTA 6‘s protagonists Jason and Lucia will become entangled in a criminal conspiracy that stretches across the entire state. This means that even the story itself might require developers to really put effort into locations other than Vice City. Of course, this depends largely on how successfully Rockstar Games will execute its ideas and whether people’s expectations are realistic in general, but it’s safe to say that the screenshots have at least established how visually diverse the state is.
If the different locations manage to contribute something meaningful to the adventure as well as the general feeling of the world, then Vice City could remain the game’s most recognizable destination without necessarily becoming its most memorable one. It would also be interesting to see if any of these areas will end up becoming fan favorites too, despite receiving less attention before launch.
