Documents claim to list three separate characters who will appear in the game: main protagonist Aubrey, potential villain Ryuzo, and the mysterious Ripley 8. Further details show that the upcoming Alien title will feature a blend of different gameplay mechanics that encompass combat, platforming, and puzzle-solving. Aubrey is said to have a grappling hook and a pair of magnetic boots, among other items and tools, though it is unclear if these will be specifically for platforming or if they may also prove helpful with combat and puzzles.

Similar to Alien: Isolation, this new rumored Alien experience is said to utilize a player-tracking Xenomorph AI system that will allow the titular alien to “adapt and react” based on player actions throughout the game.
