Pokemon GO Fans Want Scopely to Add a New Endgame Mode

Pokemon GO Fans Want Scopely to Add a New Endgame Mode

Pokemon GO players are banding together to ask Scopely to implement a brand-new endgame mode to the mobile game, featuring an endless gauntlet of increasingly difficult challenges. The massively popular mobile game based on the long-running monster-catching franchise offers fans no shortage of things to do. Alongside Pokemon GO‘s base experience of trekking around the real world capturing Pokemon, Scopely offers everything from Community Days and Raid Hours to full-blown events centered around different creatures. However, one aspect of the game that has seen many fans clamoring for new changes is Pokemon GO‘s endgame content.

While Pokemon GO puts the emphasis on its social aspects and events, endgame content is few and far-between for fans of the game. The mobile game’s Raid Battles serve as one of the most common forms of endgame challenges for players, with raids like Mega Raids and Max Battles requiring fans to team up with other players. GO Battle League also stands as an endgame challenge for players looking to compete with one another, tasking players with building their most powerful teams and duking it out to climb the Ranked ladder. However, fans are now proposing another form of endgame PvE content that could be a hit.

Pokemon GO’s January 2026 Community Day Classic Features a Fan-Favorite Starter

Pokemon GO’s first Community Day Classic event of 2026 will give fans the chance to pick up one of the franchise’s most popular starter Pokemon.

Pokemon GO Fans Asking Scopely for Endgame Mode

A post created by Reddit user Entire_Pineapple4732 is proposing the addition of a “GO Battle Tower” to Pokemon GO. The Battle Tower would function similarly to the endgame challenges from main-series Pokemon games, pitting players against increasingly powerful AI-controlled opponents. The post suggests that Pokemon GO lacks endgame content designed for solo players, with the GO Battle Tower intended to test a player’s skill and how much time and effort the player has put into raising the strongest Pokemon in Pokemon GO. The Reddit user suggests that GO Battle Tower could sport a variety of rewards from cosmetics to poses, incentivizing fans to participate in every rotation of the game mode.

Other Pokemon GO fans are clearly on board with the idea, with many expressing their own support for the endgame challenge. One fan suggested that Scopely could easily implement an idea similar to GO Battle Tower, taking inspiration from similar endgame modes used in gacha games. The addition of meaningful solo PvE content was also a major draw for many fans supporting the idea, with Pokemon GO‘s endgame typically focused on group content. The original poster even suggested some alternate versions of the game mode, including seasonal and special restricted versions of the GO Battle Tower.

Scopely Clearly Has Big Plans for Pokemon GO

Since it acquired Niantic earlier this year, Scopely has pushed a plethora of positive changes to Pokemon GO throughout 2025. Pokemon GO made waves earlier this year when it raised the level cap in October, rising from Level 50 to Level 80 in the first significant increase since 2020. The boosted level cap also came with some special rewards for players, with Pokemon GO adding storage upgrades as a reward tied to leveling up within the game. Pokemon GO even introduced the long-requested Remote Trade function in December, allowing fans to trade with one another as part of the new “Forever Friends” tier.

With Pokemon GO seeing lots of changes throughout 2025, Scopely has the game set to kick off 2026 with a bang. Pokemon GO has already revealed multiple events set to run during January, including a New Year’s celebration and two different Community Day events. The mobile game has also revealed some of its bigger in-person events for next year, including GO Tour: Kalos taking place in February and GO Fest 2026 scheduled to kick off in June. Scopely and Pokemon GO will look to push the mobile monster-catching game even further with plenty more to come soon.
