NetEase Games has officially revealed all the balance changes coming to Marvel Rivals with the launch of Season 6.5 on February 13, which includes a significant adjustment for the Strategist Adam Warlock. Marvel Rivals recently added Deadpool to the popular hero shooter’s ever-expanding roster. Deadpool has turned out to be one of the most unique and versatile heroes in the game, as he has the ability to swap between Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist ability kits.
In addition to a wide variety of balance changes, NetEase Games will be adding the hero Elsa Bloodstone to the title’s roster with the start of Season 6.5. Elsa Bloodstone will be one of Marvel Rivals‘ Duelists, meaning gamers will want to focus on dishing out as much damage as possible while playing her. In order to keep pressure on her enemies on the battlefield, Elsa Bloodstone can swap between weapons. As a monster hunter, she even has the ability to summon creatures in the middle of a fight, which could cause a lot of chaos in the heat of the moment. Players will also be able to purchase a new skin for Elsa Bloodstone when she makes her debut on February 13. The skin is called Young Blood, and it shows the hero sporting a blue top, long blonde hair, and tan pants. While Elsa Bloodstone will likely be the star of the show when Season 6.5 goes live, NetEase Games has also prepared some major balance changes for the game’s existing heroes.

Marvel Rivals Season 6.5 Balance Changes
In a recent post on the popular hero shooter’s official site, the developers outlined all the balance adjustments coming to Marvel Rivals with the launch of Season 6.5 on February 13. Many gamers were quick to point out the changes being made to Marvel Rivals‘ Adam Warlock, which will give the Strategist more mobility options. When players boot up the new season, they’ll likely notice a new ability in Adam Warlock’s kit that allows him to enter flight mode, something players have been asking for since the hero made his debut. In addition to flight mode, Soul Bond will now allow the Strategist to hover and attack for the duration of the ability.
The developers will also be making some significant changes to Storm in Marvel Rivals, which should make the Duelist even more fearsome on the battlefield. For instance, Storm will now be able to gain bonus health from Wind Blade and Bolt Rush while her Tornado is active. NetEase Games also adjusted her attack/speed buff to allies, as it will now decay over two seconds instead of ending abruptly.

Marvel Rivals‘ Venom will also be getting a couple of buffs that should increase his durability during fights. With the start of Season 6.5, Venom’s base health will be increased from 650 to 675. Venom will also receive more bonus health from his ultimate ability, Feast of the Abyss. The conversion rate of damage to bonus health has been increased from 1 to 1.3, which should give the Vanguard better survivability.
NetEase Games has also revealed that it will be making numerous changes to the game’s team-ups. Perhaps most notably, The Fantastic Four’s team-up is being retired completely, breaking up the superhero group. However, Marvel Rivals‘ Invisible Woman will be joining Doctor Strange for a brand-new team-up called Psionic Mayhem. Mister Fantastic will be joining the existing team-up Rocket Network with Rocket Raccoon and Star-Lord. With so much content to enjoy and even more just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Marvel Rivals.

Thor

- Hammer Throw New Effect: Hits now grant 50 Bonus Health (only triggers once per throw, even if hitting multiple enemies).

Venom
The Lethal Protector gets a small survivability bump!
- Increase base health from 650 to 675.

- Reduce the Bonus Max Health provided by Moon Blade from 100 to 75.
Phoenix
The Phoenix Force dims a little. Jean’s staying power is slightly toned down.
- Reduce base health from 275 to 250.
Psylocke
Sharper in the fight, softer with her ultimate!
- Psionic Crossbow Damage Falloff: Adjust maximum Damage Falloff at 30m from 60% to 70%.
- Reduce the single-hit Damage of Dance of the Butterfly (Ultimate Ability) from 170 to 160.
Squirrel Girl

- Weather Control – Thunder New Effect: Under this aura, Wind Blade hits reduce Bolt Rush cooldown by 0.5s (only once per cast, even if hitting multiple enemies). Increase Bolt Rush spell field range radius from 1m to 1.5m.
- Thunder & Lightning New Effect: Ally buffs now decay over 2s after leaving the aura instead of vanishing instantly.
- Thunder: Reduce Damage Boost for allies from 12% to 8%.
- Reduce animation end lag when using Weather Control.
The Punisher
