Best Places to Get Honeycomb
- West of the Cloudrest Lake
- Windflute Island
Honeycombs are obtained by picking beehives. Two of the best places to find and collect them are the forest west of Cloudrest Lake in the north of the map and Windflute Island in the south. These beehives are often attached to White Fig and Banyan trees. Players can collect them by chopping down these trees with an axe or machete.
Beehives come in two sizes: small and large. In addition to Honeycombs, small hives usually contain a couple of Bumblebees, which are essential for producing Honey on the farm. Large hives, on the other hand, have a chance to drop a Queen Bee, which helps reproduce more Bumblebees.
Large Beehives are often found on giant White Fig trees. Players must first unlock the Sharp Machete, which requires Intermediate Crafting skills.
How to Produce Honey
To produce Honey on the farm, players need to craft a Beehive. The blueprint for this structure unlocks once they reach the Intermediate Rancher level at Green Pasture Ranch.
After unlocking the Beehive blueprint, players can build it using the following materials:
- Hardwood Plank (6)
- Honeycomb (6)
- Iron Sheet (3)
A Beehive can house both Bumblebees and Queen Bees. Bumblebees automatically collect Honey from 7:00 to 19:00. Queen Bees, however, are only responsible for reproduction. Each day, a Queen Bee consumes a portion of the Royal Jelly fed to it and produces a new Bumblebee.

A Queen Bee occupies seven slots in a Beehive and requires at least one empty slot to produce new bees.
How to Get Royal Jelly
Royal Jelly is the primary food for Queen Bees. Players can produce it by placing one Egg and five Honeycombs into a Feeder machine. After that, they need to put the Royal Jelly inside the Beehive so the Queen Bee can begin reproduction.
Royal Jelly is also a lucrative artisan product, as each bottle sells for 226 Starsand Island Coins.
Is Beekeeping Worth It in Starsand Island?
Most other farm animals in Starsand Island require constant feeding to produce items. Bumblebees, however, can work independently for 12 hours a day and provide Honey at almost no cost. Because of this cost efficiency, beekeeping is a profitable side hustle that islanders should consider trying.
Players can rename their Beehives by clicking the title at the top or by pressing the LSB button on an Xbox controller.
