Pokemon GO Reveals Community Day Pokemon for March 2026

Pokemon GO Reveals Community Day Pokemon for March 2026

Pokemon GO has just confirmed that Scorbunny will be its Community Day Pokemon for Saturday, March 14, 2026. On this day, Pokemon GO players will encounter Scorbunny much more frequently in the wild and will have limited-time access to a bevy of unique rewards and Field Research quests.

For those not in the loop, Pokemon GO Community Days are a monthly worldwide event that makes one specific Pokemon easier to catch for a few hours. When caught or evolved during this timeframe, the chosen Pokemon or one closely associated with it will often learn a special move. Unique bonuses that change with each event are also handed out to players, such as increased XP gain or increased Shiny rate. Pokemon GO has been hosting Community Days since January 18, 2018, and it’s rarely missed a month, even throughout the global pandemic.

I’m So Glad I Grew Up with Pokemon’s Controversial Release Schedule, and Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest Deserved The Same

My childhood was filled with new Pokemon games, and if it weren’t for its rapid succession of releases, it’d be another Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest.

On Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 2pm–5pm local time, Scorbunny will take center stage as Pokemon GO‘s Community Day Pokemon. This means that between 2pm and 5pm, Scorbunny will appear more frequently, as will Shiny Scorbunny and Scorbunny with special backgrounds. Between 2pm and 9pm on March 14, any PokeStop with a lure module attached will also have an increased chance of attracting all variations of Scorbunny.

During the March 14 Pokemon GO Community Day and up to four hours after the event’s start, players will be able to earn a Pokemon with a special move. Evolving a Raboot during this timeframe will grant players a Cinderace with Charged Attack Blast Burn. Starting with the event, Pokemon GO players will also be able to teach their Cinderace a new Charged Attack Pyro Ball move, which will have 75 Power during Trainer battles and 150 Power during Gym battles and Raids, according to the event’s official announcement.

As usual, those wanting even more from Pokemon GO‘s March Community Day will be able to purchase a Special Research ticket for $1.99. This ticket will grant players access to an array of Community Day-themed quests. Completing these quests will reward the player with three guaranteed encounters with a Scorbunny with a special background, one Premium Battle Pass, and one Rare Candy XL. Of course, those who don’t purchase a Special Research ticket will still be able to access a range of themed Field Research quests that will reward them with Ultraballs, Stardust, and other items.

Participating in Pokemon GO‘s next Community Day will also grant all players access to the following limited-time bonuses:

  • 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period.
  • 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
  • 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
  • Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
  • Lure Modules will last for one hour and may attract the featured Pokémon.
  • One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.
  • Trades will require 50% less Stardust.

A core aspect of Pokemon GO‘s Community Days is, of course, the social side of the game. These events were designed specifically so that fellow Pokemon GO fans could meet up in central locations and enjoy the hobby together. In that spirit, Pokemon GO has created a Community Day map that marks out local areas that have historically been popular meet-up spots for players. Community Ambassadors who work closely with Niantic will also mark any major in-person events happening in the area.
