Weird Heartopia Glitch Makes Cars Invisible

Weird Heartopia Glitch Makes Cars Invisible

A Heartopia player has shared an odd glitch they experienced in the game that resulted in a large portion of their car becoming completely invisible. The oddity has amused the Heartopia community, though some are pointing to it as being a sign that the game needs fixes.

Heartopia had a global launch back in January, and the game has already been a massive success for its developer. So far, the game has seen a peak of over 66,000 concurrent players on Steam alone, and while it’s fallen somewhat since then, it still held a respectable count of over 47,000 concurrent players within the last day of publication time. Players have a lot to do in Heartopia, but there are also some issues with the game, as evidenced by the glitch showcased by this player.

Heartopia Player Shows Off Invisible Car

On Reddit, a player called Matotam_Illustrator has shared some screenshots of a bug they came across in-game that rendered their car largely invisible. In their post, they joke that rather than a glitch, it’s a new invisible car that’s been added to the game, which they demonstrate. In the screenshots, one can see that Matotam_Illustrator’s player character simply floats in mid-air while trying to drive the invisible car, with only the wheels, windshield, and a pair of side windows visible. The rest of the car has completely vanished, including the steering wheel, making the player’s character look pretty silly while driving it. While the textures have become invisible, the entire car casts a shadow like it’s a normal Heartopia car, which makes it look even weirder.

This isn’t the first time that this glitch has been seen, though in most cases it will make the entire car vanish, rather than leaving the wheels and glass behind. Perhaps due to this issue being a common sight for a while, players have mostly been joking about the sight. Some have given nods to Wonder Woman’s invisible jet, or the invisible boatmobile from Spongebob Squarepants. A few mentioned having seen other users driving around in invisible or mostly-invisible cars like this one, while another player spotted an invisible motorcycle. Given that players can get a motorcycle for free in Heartopia, it’s likely that they’re not the only one to see the glitch impact a bike.

Some players see this Heartopia bug as a problem, and are using the opportunity to ask the developers to fix the problems with the game. It’s just one of the issues that players have taken with Heartopia, with many decrying the gacha odds and the potential cost they can face rolling for an item they really want. It’s been enough of an issue that the developers have responded to the complaints. However, not all players see an issue with spending a lot of money in the game. More players in the comments said that they actually want an invisible car in the game that’s not a glitch, and would be willing to spend real cash on it if the developers were to add one to Heartopia.

Thankfully, this bug is purely visual and doesn’t impact the gameplay of driving a car or bike, but it may nonetheless bother some players. One can imagine that spending real money on Heartopia to unlock a specific vehicle only for it to be rendered mostly or entirely invisible would be frustrating, to say the least. Players who have this problem and are upset by it may want to try restarting their game to see if that fixes the issue. Outside of that, fans of the game can also report a bug on Heartopia‘s official site. Thankfully for those players, there are still plenty of things to keep them occupied in Heartopia that don’t revolve around vehicles at all. However, considering the ongoing My Little Pony x Heartopia crossover event rewards players with a car, it’d probably be best for the developers to fix this bug as soon as they can.
