Following Roman Reigns is a challenge for any WWE superstar, but plenty of fans believe certain roster members will have a major role in the future of the company. The same can be said for video games. Roman Reigns was a major antagonistic force in WWE 2K24‘s Undisputed MyRise storyline, which was then followed by CM Punk’s NXT Mutiny storyline in WWE 2K25. Someone had to follow these two giants in WWE 2K26, and it seems Visual Concepts and 2K Games wanted to bet on a future WrestleMania Main Eventer.
If John Cena’s retirement tour was a reminder of anything, it’s that these WWE superstars aren’t here forever, and someone is going to carry the torch after mainstays like Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, or even Roman Reigns eventually retire. There are plenty of future main roster WWE contenders, but WWE 2K26 rightfully puts a spotlight on Bron Breakker.
Many fan favorites are being paraded as the future of WWE. Je’Von Evans is a major up-and-coming name who has made waves since he was introduced, and he officially joined the Raw roster in early 2026. He has already made it into the Elimination Chamber. Jacob Fatu is up there, representing the Bloodline now and in the future. Oba Femi has always been a dominant NXT talent, and various names join these figures, like Rhea Ripley (now and future), Stephanie Vaquer, Dominik Mysterio, Ilja Dragunov, Tiffany Stratton, and many more. But Bron Breakker is perhaps the best bet WWE 2K26 could place.
Spoilers for MyRise in WWE 2K26 Ahead. WWE 2K26 is available for Early Access players now but releases, in full, on March 13.
Bron Breakker is Already a WrestleMania Main Eventer in WWE 2K26
WWE 2K26‘s MyRise storyline is about the Comeback of the Archetype, a generalized fictional return story, but they come back to face a World Champion in Bron Breakker if playing in the Men’s Division. The story ultimately culminates in a WrestleMania main event between Breakker and The Archetype, but this is not a random selection because Breakker is a future WM Main Eventer. It won’t be in 2026 (without major shenanigans), as WrestleMania’s World title scene is developing without him, and he’s out of programming due to an injury.
- CM Punk (c) vs. Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship
- Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton for the Undisputed WWE Championship
- Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship
- Jade Cargill (c) vs. Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s Championship
Some reports indicate that Bron Breakker is trying to push through recovery for a match at WrestleMania 42, which would likely be against Seth Rollins if anything, but it most likely won’t be in the main event…for now.
Bron Breakker is a Future WrestleMania Main Eventer in WWE
There’s little question among WWE or fans that Breakker has multiple WrestleMania Main Events ahead of him. He has the X-factor, the physicality, the in-ring abilities—if there’s any room for improvement, then it’s his versatility when cutting promos. But this isn’t a simple observation from outside WWE. Inside WWE has indicated the same.
- Triple H has called Breakker the “Future”
- Rhodes sees Breakker in the WrestleMania Main event territory
- CM Punk has called Breakker a “Blue Chip Prospect”
- Breaker has already captured major titles (Intercontinental) and been paired with major stars (Seth Rollins, Logan Paul)
- His spears are already things of legend, such as when he speared IShowSpeed
- His proximity to Paul Heyman is notable, and just like he is in WWE 2K26, Breakker feels like a future “Paul Heyman Guy” on top of everything else.
In so many ways, WWE 2K26‘s MyRise mode is a preview of the future. It would not be surprising, within the next few years, to see Bron Breakker Main-Eventing a WrestleMania. It would not be surprising to see him become a Paul Heyman Guy…but perhaps he should look out for any Archetypes making a comeback, just in case.
