How to Get a Bulldoze Pokemon for Bleak Beach in Pokopia

Players who have reached Bleak Beach in Pokemon Pokopia and want to add a Pokemon with the Bulldoze specialty to the area should focus on finding a Makuhita. This common Pokemon appears in the tree-shaded yellow tall grass and all packed up habitats, both of which are easy to establish. After meeting a Makuhita, players can use their Bulldoze specialty to rebuild the Pokemon Center in Bleak Beach and demolish and relocate buildings in the area.

You’ll need to smash some Crystal chunks in Rocky Ridges to find this crafting material.

Makuhita

Makuhita is a fighting-type Pokemon with both the Build and Bulldoze specialty in Pokemon Pokopia. The easiest way to meet one is to establish a tree-shaded yellow tall grass habitat, and here is an easy way to set one up:

  1. Locate a tall tree surrounded by grass.
  2. Use Water Gun to water the tree and the surrounding grass.
  3. Use Leafage to create four tall yellow grass tiles next to the tree. The area will sparkle, indicating that the habitat is established.
  4. Wait for the Makuhita to arrive.

A Makuhita can also appear in an all packed up habitat, which is created by stacking two cardboard boxes on a cart. Players can purchase a cart from the shop and find the cardboard boxes they need in the ruined structures near Meowth’s house. That said, players may instead want to put two wooden crates on top of the cart, creating a large luggage carrier habitat that can attract Pokemon like Gurdurr.

Since Makuhita also has the Build specialty, players may find that the Pokemon is initially assigned to that role when working on a project that requires both a Build and Bulldoze specialty, like rebuilding the Pokemon Center. In that instance, players should make sure to assign another Pokemon, like Farfetch’d or Gurdurr, to the Build task and use Makuhita for the Bulldoze task.

Alternatively, players can return to Withered Wasteland and have the Onix that they found there follow them to Bleak Beach. Players can then have the Pokemon take care of any bulldozing before returning them to their home.

This is a reasonable way to address a one-off task like rebuilding the Bleak Beach Pokemon Center, but it is recommended that players ultimately work to have a Bulldoze Pokemon housed in every area. Indeed, while a player could move their Onix across locations every time they want to demolish or relocate a building, it would be much easier, and less tedious, to have a Bulldoze Pokemon in the location and ready to perform those tasks.
