Kirby Air Riders was released for Switch 2 last November, and it hit the market alongside Amiibo for Kirby and Waddle Dee. And on July 2, you’ll be able to get your hands on the highly anticipated King Dedede & Tank Star Amiibo. Preorders are now open for the product–though you might be surprised to see it priced at $55 (making it the most expensive Amiibo to date).
King Dedede will join the existing Kirby Air Riders Amiibo lineup, which includes Kirby, Waddle Dee, and Meta Knight. We’ll also be getting Sword Kirby and Noir Dedede at some point in the future, though Nintendo has yet to announce an official release date.
Kirby Air Riders Amiibo
- Kirby & Warp Star — $50
- Bandana Waddle Dee & Winged Star — $50
- Meta Knight & Shadow Star — $45
- King Dedede & Tank Star — $55 | Releases July 2
As for the game these figures are compatible with, Kirby Air Riders, you’ll find physical copies at Amazon for $69. It hasn’t seen any meaningful discounts since it launched in 2025–not even a price cut for Mario Day. However, plenty of other great Switch and Switch 2 games are part of the event, so if you’re looking to stock up on iconic Nintendo games for cheap, head over to our official Mario Day Deals roundup.
Our Kirby Air Riders review gave the game an 8/10, noting its deceptive depth, impressive multiplayer offerings, and long list of game modes and challenges to complete.
“Kirby Air Riders is an impressive package that makes the most of its deceivingly simple mechanics,” wrote critic Jake Dekker. “A lot of the depth comes from learning and mastering each machine. Some I love, while others I can’t stand, but those stark differences give so much character to the vehicle lineup. It makes unlocking new machines genuinely exciting because you never know what will click and what won’t.”
