Resident Evil Requiem Leak Reveals Fan-Favorite Character’s Potential Return

Following the announcement of Resident Evil Requiem‘s upcoming DLC, a trusted Resident Evil leaker has stated that Ada Wong may return in the expansion. Resident Evil Requiem has been an instant hit in the gaming world, debuting to a brilliant reception from critics and fans and reaching 6 million sales worldwide. Merging the slow-burn gameplay of old-school Resident Evil with the more recent action-oriented entries proved to satisfy all sets of fans while maintaining the survival horror the series is known for. Thanks to this worldwide success, Resident Evil Requiem has had its first DLC officially announced by Capcom, with much excitement and speculation following.

With Resident Evil Requiem‘s DLC already in development, many fans have begun theorizing about what the possible narrative could be, along with speculating on further expansions that may be revealed. Many point to Grace’s mother, Alyssa Ashcroft, as a perfect candidate for a potential prequel DLC, with others focusing on the wedding ring seen on Leon’s finger in concept art and cutscenes. This wedding ring has led many to wonder who Leon’s partner actually is, with Claire Redfield and Ada Wong as the two most popular candidates. Now that a leak for the upcoming DLC has surfaced, fans may be happy with who is said to be returning.

Resident Evil Requiem Sets Major Franchise Sales Record

Capcom reveals impressive sales numbers for Resident Evil Requiem, and as the game shatters a franchise record, the company hints at the future.

Ada Wong Rumored to Return in Upcoming Resident Evil Requiem DLC

After Resident Evil leaker Dusk Golem stated that Ada wouldn’t appear in Resident Evil Requiem, the upcoming DLC seems to have changed things. On Twitter, they stated that Ada Wong is very likely in Resident Evil Requiem‘s DLC, a prospect many fans are excited about. Dusk Golem said that there was a slight slip-up by a Capcom employee that resulted in an unintentional leak, and the lack of context is meant to ensure the employee doesn’t get in trouble. The Twitter post ended by stating this leak doesn’t come from their sources, but it paints Ada as being involved in Resident Evil Requiem‘s DLC in some way.

If this leak is accurate, the return of Ada would be huge news for the story of Resident Evil Requiem‘s upcoming DLC. Leon and Ada have a complicated history that began with her posing as an FBI agent before betraying him, ultimately leading to Resident Evil 6‘s ending that was left on a cliffhanger. Their relationship has certainly been a complex one, although with Leon wearing a wedding ring in the latest game, perhaps things did work out in the end. With Resident Evil 4 Remake evolving Leon and Ada’s relationship, Resident Evil Requiem‘s DLC would be the perfect time to finally wrap up the story of these two beloved characters.

Dusk Golem is viewed as a largely reliable leaker in the Resident Evil community, correctly leaking that Resident Evil Requiem would be a reinvention of the series, although they have also been wrong on a few occasions. Most notably, they stated that the Clock Tower segment of Resident Evil 3 would appear in its remake, which ultimately turned out to be false. This reinforces the fact that any leaks should definitely be taken with a grain of salt until stated otherwise by official sources. This leak is claimed to be public information from an official Capcom employee, which does give it more credit, but should not be viewed as the truth until officially confirmed. The future of Resident Evil Requiem is certainly bright, and the fact that Leon and Ada may finally complete their story definitely leaves this DLC one to look forward to.
