Alongside April 7’s addition of Final Fantasy 4 to Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft has revealed a list of all the new additions and adjustments coming this month. Among many other games, the company has announced that the popular Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) will join Xbox Game Pass on April 17.
While Microsoft owns Activision’s extensive catalog of Call of Duty games, many are not yet available on services like Xbox Game Pass for some reason. Prior to Modern Warfare, the only CoD games added to Xbox Game Pass were World War II, Modern Warfare 2 (2022), Modern Warfare 3 (2023), Black Ops 6, and Black Ops 7, so at the very least, one trilogy has been rounded out with this new addition. Of course, there are 9 other games to keep note of, with 3 of those being day one releases.

The bolded additions are brand new Xbox Game Pass games coming in the next couple of weeks, while the non-bolded titles are moving from one tier to the next. The headlining addition, of course, is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare arriving on April 17, but also the three-day one games: Replaced, Vampire Crawlers, and Kiln. The former explores 1980s America in a dark cyberpunk cinematic thriller with 2.5D platformer gameplay, all to answer the existential question: “Can an AI become human?” Vampire Crawlers takes Vampire Survivors’ gameplay and channels it into a turn-based, rogue-lite deck-builder dungeon crawler, and Kiln lets players create pottery and do battle as a new multiplayer game on Xbox Game Pass.
Beyond Call of Duty and these day one releases, April 2026 is shaping up to be one of the more diverse months across every tier of Xbox Game Pass subscription. From strategy and simulation titles like Endless Legend 2 and Football Manager 26 to highly anticipated releases such as Hades 2, the service continues to balance blockbuster appeal with indie variety. Meanwhile, legacy fans have plenty to look forward to as well, especially with The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered joining the lineup and giving players another chance to revisit one of Bethesda’s most beloved RPGs.
Furthermore, games like Hades 2, FBC: Firebreak, and Replaced ensure that Game Pass remains competitive in an increasingly crowded subscription landscape. At the same time, inclusions like EA Sports NHL 26 and Planet Coaster 2 help round out the catalog with experiences that appeal to sports and simulation fans alike.
