Pokemon Champions has arrived on Nintendo Switch, and like many other Pokemon games before it, it’s offering a handful of free Pokemon and other helpful items for players. In addition to free Mystery Gifts, you can receive elusive Mega Stones by transferring certain Pokemon over from the Pokemon Home service, and even get a free Gardevoir by participating in the game’s first online competition.
Here are all of the free gifts available right now in Pokemon Champions. If you’re new to the battle-focused game, be sure to also check out our beginner’s guide to competitive Pokemon, as well as our guide on how to move Pokemon over from Pokemon Home.
Free Mystery Gifts
Dragonite
- Available until August 31, 2026
As an extra incentive to jump into the game early, everyone who downloads and plays Pokemon Champions before August 31 can claim a free Dragonite. You’ll find the dragon Pokemon in your in-game mailbox alongside 100 Quick Coupons, which reduce the amount of time you need to wait to recruit new Pokemon from the ranch.
Machamp
- Available until August 31, 2026
Early players can add another powerhouse Pokemon to their teams with a free Machamp. To claim the fighting type, access the Mystery Gift menu and enter the code CHAMP10N. You’ll need to redeem the code before August 31 to receive this Machamp.
Other Freebies
Gardevoir

Pokemon Champions’ first online competition, the Warm-Up Challenge, is underway until April 12, and everyone who participates can receive a free Gardevoir as a reward. To get the Pokemon, all you need to do is play at least three full matches (with at least one win or loss) before the competition ends.
If you fulfill those requirements, you’ll receive the Gardevoir in your in-game mailbox after the final ranking results are available, along with 100 free Quick Coupons.
Mega Stones

Champions players can get some of Lumiose City’s rarest Mega Stones by transferring select Pokemon over from Pokemon Home.
If you bring over a Chestnaught, Delphox, Greninja, and Eternal Flower Floette originally caught in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, you’ll receive each Pokemon’s respective Mega Stone in Champions. The items will be waiting in your in-game mailbox.
