ACOTAR: Fate and Favor Game Officially Revealed by Publisher Goliath
Called A Court of Thorns and Roses: Fate and Favor, this new strategy board game for the beloved IP launches on October 6 for $24.99. Players take control of one of Prythian’s seven courts—Night, Day, Dawn, Winter, Summer, Spring, or Autumn—as they forge alliances, manage shifting loyalties, and battle for influence across the realm. Developed alongside IMG Licensing, the game features original artwork created specifically for the project, all to make sure the series’ beloved characters feel right at home in an officially licensed board game for the first time.

Some of the fantasy game’s biggest features include:
- Play as one of Prythian’s seven High Lords or High Ladies.
- Strategy gameplay centered around alliances, influence, and court politics.

Goliath says the project was built by a team filled with ACOTAR readers, with CEO Jochanan Golad explaining that the goal was to create a game that felt worthy of Sarah J. Maas’ fantasy world. According to the publisher, that passion influenced everything from the gameplay systems to the artwork and component design. Fans attending Gen Con will also be able to get an early look at the game before its retail release this fall.
The announcement also comes with an important pre-order update. Target Exclusive Edition pre-orders begin July 31, giving fans their first chance to secure the game ahead of its October 6 release. Goliath says additional information about the standard edition and Bookseller Variant, including availability and launch timing, will be shared in the coming weeks, giving ACOTAR fans multiple ways to add the franchise’s first official board game to their collection.
