In Aniimo, discovering new secrets about the wondrous creatures that inhabit the world of Idyll is not just about catching and battling: You can also interact with them directly thanks to the Twine gimmick. If you are wondering how to talk to Aniimo NPCs you find in the wild to gather clues about their family and ecosystem, then this guide will help you understand how you can work it out by Twining with your Aniimo partners.
How to Talk To Aniimo in The Wild
To talk to wild Aniimo NPCs or other Pathfinders’ Aniimo, you need to catch an Aniimo of the same family group and then Twine with it. Sometimes, the game system will automatically set you up to Twine with one of the Aniimo on your Aniipedia, then you can automatically switch and Twine with it.
Now, once you have Twined with an Aniimo of the same species (no matter the stage, form, or evolution branch) you can interact with a Wild Aniimo NPC or a trained Aniimo NPC and talk to them.
This is a great way to discover things about the world that you wouldn’t figure out otherwise. For example: The evolution Branch Quest for Emberpup into Inferlupa can only be unlocked by traveling to Beast Fang Ridge at night and talking to the local Emberpup and Flameruff pack, and you can only do it at night and while you are Twining with an Emberpup or a member of its evolution line.
While you complete the Core Courses of the Elite Training, you will have to use this mechanic more than once. When you travel to the Forest of Falling Stars to complete one of the objectives of the Core Course, you will have to talk to the Celestis in the Nest of Stars, so that’s one of the applications of this mechanic.
You can also use it to help Wild Aniimo that are having difficulties, or to solve certain puzzles or Sub-Quests. Like the Lost Lotus Leaf quest from Skippy.
Finally, you can also obtain important clues about certain Main Story quests and Hidden Side Quests by Talking to Aniimo around the world. Make sure to pay attention to their attitude, as most of these friendly Aniimo are static instead of running around or have a (…) icon above their heads. So that’s important to distinguish them from unfriendly wild Aniimo.
