Arc Raiders A Dead End Quest Guide

If you’ve received the A Dead End quest in Arc Raiders, you’re probably already aware that you need to head to Blue Gate for some underground exploration. It can be confusing down there, but you’re heading to the relatively confined Security Wing, so it shouldn’t be too much of a hassle. However, once you’re down there, you’ll quickly find that you need to open a door and find some stuff inside a room, too, so let’s take a look at how to knock it all out.

Keep in mind that you’ll need to extract with an item you find in the Security Wing, so it’s a good idea to bring an augment with a safe pocket. This will ensure that you can still turn the quest in back in Speranza even if you die before making it to an extraction point.

When you’re ready to wrap up A Dead End, follow the steps below.

Find MANTIKOR’s underground facilities

To find MANTIKOR’s underground facilities, you’ll need to head to the Security Wing underground in the middle of the Blue Gate map.

While you can enter the underground area and access the Security Wing from multiple spots on the map, including the Checkpoint gates and the Headhouse, it’s quickest and easiest to take the zipline down at the small structure marked above (leftmost arrow).

Find a way into the locked room in the Security Wing

Head to the spot below in the Security Wing.

When you arrive, you’ll see a large door with a battery console to the right of it. You’ll need to find three batteries located in random spots around the Security Wing, bring them here, and insert them. The Security Wing isn’t a large POI, so finding these is fairly simple. Of course, it’s always easier with a group–and there’s a good chance you’ll have other random raiders working on this–so maybe try to be friendly to folks for a better chance at getting it done quickly.

When you find all three batteries (or arrive and find that it’s already open like we did), you’ll be able to head inside.

Search the locked room for any records of Project Heartwood

Walk to the very back of the room where the giant screen is located. On the right side of the screen is a machine. Interact with the prompt that says “Play Recording” to move the quest along.

Now, you’ll be tasked with finding the Dusty Film Reel. Don’t worry–it’s nearby.

Find the Dusty Film Reel

On the left side of the giant screen is a container you can search.

Search the container for the Dusty Film Reel. Make sure you interact with it again to actually pick it up.

Deliver the Dusty Film Reel to Shani

Once you’ve picked up the Dusty Film Reel, you’ll need to extract with it. Make sure you toss it in your safe pocket if possible, then head back out of the underground facility and to the nearest extraction point so you can get home in one piece. Turn the quest in to Shani when you return to Speranza.
