Arc Raiders often sends you on missions to check out locations across its various maps, but it’s not often you get to do some full-blown recon on one of the game’s most dangerous ARC. In Combat Recon, you’ll need to head to Buried City and scout multiple locations before taking out a Bombardier’s helpful little Spotters. But hey, you’re up for the challenge, aren’t ya?
We’d recommend bringing a loadout that has a safe pocket for this quest. You’ll need to pick up and bring back a Spotter Relay from one of the Spotters you kill, so you’ll want to keep it safe in case things go sideways.
When you’re ready to start up your recon mission, follow the steps below.
Scope out a cover spot in the Parking Garage staircases
The first spot to do some recon is the staircases at the Parking Garage. While you can take the stairs up to the top of the POI, we’d recommend just hopping on the zipline in the center and then walking the last bit of the way up.
Taking the zipline is a faster route.
Over by the door leading to the staircase is a spot you can interact with to scout out the area.

Next, head to Marano Park in the middle of the map to do more recon near some buses.

On the left side of this large, open area are some buses next to a building. Interact with the designated spot to scout out another area.

Lastly, make your way to Plaza Rosa to the south. Get on the roof of the building on the map below and drop into the attic there.
Head to the marked area on the map for the next objective.

Destroy two Spotters
Now, you’ll need take note of some Spotters flying around the Bombardier that patrols Marano Park in the center of the map (around where you visited the buses). There will be two of these that fly within a fixed vicinity around the Bombardier. If possible, use heavy weapons to make quick work of them. For instance, two shots from Anvil are usually enough to drop one.
Take out the Spotters.
Be aware that Spotters will note your location and improve the Bombardier’s targeting capabilities, so you’ll want to use adequate cover while taking them out. Once they’ve fallen–and you’ve verified that the Bombardier has de-aggro’d you–you can approach their husks to take a Spotter Relay from them, which you’ll need to deliver to Shani.

Lastly, you’ll just need to return to Speranza with a Spotter Relay in hand. Hopefully, you tossed one of these items in your safe pocket in case things go wrong. But they won’t–we believe in you.
