Embark Studios reveals the launch date for the major Riven Tides update for ARC Raiders, giving players a detailed rundown of all the new content being added to the game as well. It’s been a very busy 2026 for Embark Studios as the company worked through a major new update each month for ARC Raiders and starting on April 28, the Riven Tides content will finally be available.
Alongside Riven Tides, players can undertake the latest Expedition in ARC Raiders, with some players working towards their third since the game launched. Each Expedition features its own set of awards, with Embark revealing the 3rd version will continue evolving the Patchwork Outfit and Indicator Icon, while giving Scrappy a Turban, and giving players another 12 stash spaces and a skill point catchup. Expedition buffs also continue to build on top of previous ones, with 3 Expeditions granting a 15% base XP boost, an 18% materials boost for Scrappy, and an 80% repair value increase.
ARC Raiders Reveals New Content in Riven Tides
With April rapidly coming to a close, Embark has finally pulled back the curtain on the Riven Tides update, which is launching on April 28. As revealed in the roadmap for ARC Raiders, Riven Tides is adding another new map and while many were initially speculating that it could take place near the volcano, Embark is instead taking ARC Raiders players to the beach. According to the blog post, players will be heading to a new stretch of deserted coastline called Azzurro Beach that has since fallen to the machines after the First Wave failed to hold the exposed settlement there. Some notable locations include the Panorama Azzurro resort and a towering dockyard.
The newest ARC enemy has also been revealed, and it isn’t the big Emperor machine that many were expecting to see. Riven Tides is introducing the ARC Turbine, which, unlike the other hostile machines in ARC Raiders, won’t actively hunt players at first. It can be seen floating in the sky, seemingly calm and quiet. As players get close to it, Embark teases it’ll present an all-new challenge for players as the Turbine has brutal defensive abilities that require patience and skill to overcome.
Alongside the new map is a special minor condition called Beachcombing. Using a device called the Dockmaster’s Detector, similar to a metal detector, players will come across buried loot. However, Embark warns that the Dockmaster’s Detector takes up 1 weapon slot and the best loot is typically out in the open, adding a new layer of risk and reward. However, to help traversal, players can use the Crash Mat and the Powered Descender to help mitigate fall damage.
From April 28 to May 25, players can also take part in the Last Resort Event, rewarding Merits based on the amount of XP earned during successful runs. Three pages of cosmetic rewards await, including the Junior Outfit, Hydrologist backpack, and more. Players can even earn bonus Merits for finding special Ship Model collectibles, with higher rarity versions awarding more. Players can also earn up to 250 extra Raider Tokens, which can be used inside the in-game shop, as well as to help purchase the new Rachetta or Solare Sets, with more cosmetic outfits to be released throughout May.

Alongside the Last Resort Deck is a new Raider Project called Avian Alarm. Players will need to build a makeshift security system to help sense tremors and atmospheric changes. To help achieve that, players can deploy buoys along the Riven Tides coastline to catch birds. There are five stages to work through to help earn the Dockmaster’s Detector, along with other rewards like Gel Patches, a Bird House backpack attachment, and more.
Although Riven Tides is the last revealed major update in the early 2026 content roadmap for ARC Raiders, it’s highly unlikely that the road comes to an end there.ARC Raiders has proven to be a smash success for Embark Studios and while things may have cooled off slightly from where they were late last year, it’s still a highly popular title for the studio. Embark has continued to keep the game updated with new content, from new cosmetic outfits and Raider Deck passes, while also introducing massive changes to the sandbox with new enemies, map conditions, and content for players to dig into. It’s highly likely that players won’t have to wait too much longer to see whatr Embark is planning for the coming months.
