Arc Raiders Has Already Sold 2.4M Copies in 2026

Extraction shooter Arc Raiders has sold more than 2.4 million copies so far in 2026, bringing its total lifetime sales to 12.4 million units, publisher Nexon announced yesterday.

Speaking to investors, Nexon said the Embark Studios-developed title had already shifted 10 million copies by the end of December 2025, less than two months after its October launch. The company also revealed that Arc Raiders reached a new peak of 960,000 concurrent players this month.publisher Nexon announced yesterday

“We are extremely pleased that Arc Raiders is being enjoyed with such high retention and enthusiasm in major markets around the world,” Nexon president and CEO Lee Jeong-hun said.

Twitch Streamer Nickmercs Responds to ARC Raiders Cheating Allegations

Twitch streamer and former esports star Nickmercs responds to a viral ARC Raiders clip after fans say the content creator is cheating.

Arc Raiders has taken the extraction shooter genre by storm since its fall launch, taking home the Best Multiplayer Game title at the Game Awards and PC Gamer’s Game of the Year Awards, and being handed the Most Innovative Gameplay award in the Steam Awards, among other industry honors.

Arc Raiders has also proven effective at drawing in players who had previously overlooked extraction shooters altogether. With its accessible onboarding, distinctive aesthetic, and tension-driven gameplay loop, the title has resonated with fans of other shooter subgenres who were feeling fatigued by battle royales or hero shooters. For many newcomers, Arc Raiders has served as a gateway into the extraction space, reigniting interest in the genre and even building anticipation for upcoming releases such as Bungie’s Marathon, while still offering enough depth and novelty to keep players invested long after their first expedition.

Of course, the long-term success of any live-service shooter hinges on the cadence and quality of its post-launch updates. The most recent update introduced long-requested balance changes, most notably a significant nerf to the dominant Trigger Nade and a reduced fire rate for the Kettle to curb macro abuse, alongside the arrival of the highly anticipated Abyss cosmetic bundle. While some players have voiced concerns over lingering bugs and untouched balance outliers, the update underscores Embark’s ongoing efforts to refine the experience and respond to community feedback as the game moves deeper into its live-service lifecycle.

Embark Studios has comitted to providing regular new content and many updates are planned for the future, according to ther Nexus press release.
