ARC Raiders Players Aren’t Happy With the Game’s Newest Skin

ARC Raiders Players Aren’t Happy With the Game’s Newest Skin

Embark Studios has given fans a brand-new ARC Raiders skin as part of the weekly store rotation, but players are blasting the studio for advertising the Marco skin with a white helment, despite the fact that it is not a color option in-game. Sadly, this isn’t the only problem players have highlighted, as the newest ARC Raiders skin also appears to have clipping issues that make the trouser legs appear through the boots of the skin.

As with most live service titles, skins have been a big talking point among the ARC Raiders community. At launch, developer Embark Studios commented on the growing number of unrealistic cosmetic items that were infesting titles such as Call of Duty. With fans becoming concerned that ARC Raiders could go down the same path in order to increase profits, the developer reassured the community that any cosmetic items would fit the overall theme of the game and maintain its aesthetic. After nearly three months, it’s clear that Embark has remained true to its word, with any new skins to hit the in-game store being grounded and realistic.

ARC Raiders Kicks Off 2026 With a New Set of Trials Challenges

ARC Raiders developer Embark Studios kicks off 2026 with a brand-new set of Trials challenges for players to complete and earn fresh rewards.

ARC Raiders Players Left Perplexed by New Marco Skin

On January 6, Embark Studios released the first new skin of the year, but fans quickly took issue with the misleading advertising done by the studio. The Marco set is available in ARC Raiders now for 1,150 Raider Tokens and comes with three different colors, but many players were quick to point out that Embark appears to be advertising the skin with a white helmet, even though this is not an available option. As of writing, the Marco set comes with three color options: white and red, green and white, and red and blue. None of the available options come with the white helment that is displayed in the store image, and fans aren’t happy about it.

Numerous posts have begun appearing on the ARC Raiders subreddit as the community questions why Embark would advertise the skin with a cosmetic color that isn’t actually available. “Why is there an opaque white version on the splash art but no option for it on the actual outfit?,” one user asked, while another said, “[Embark] straight up lie in the promo with the helmet color lol.” Players have also pointed out that the skin also has a clipping issue as the trousers of the skin appear to clip through the boots. While not a major issue, players have to use premium currency to obtain the skin, so issues such as these are often disappointing.

Today was also a disappointing day for the ARC Raiders community as many were anticipating the first patch of the year to arrive today. Back in December, Embark confirmed it would be taking a much-needed break over the Christmas period, but would continue to monitor critical issues and return in January with further adjustments. The game’s Community Manager then announced that the team was working on a nerf for Trigger Nades after they became the new meta in ARC Raiders over the last few weeks, as well as a fix for players exploiting macros to fire the Kettle at a much higher rate than intended. Sadly, the update did not arrive today, which means it will likely arrive next week, given that Embark has said it intends to release new updates every Tuesday.

While fans may need to wait a little longer for the first update of the year, the future is looking bright for ARC Raiders. As the extraction shooter has managed to maintain 91% of its player base on Steam, it’s clear that players are eager to see more content added to the game. Embark has yet to reveal its 2026 roadmap, but the studio has said it intends to support ARC Raiders with 10 years worth of post-launch content.
