Following the release of the big Riven Tides update last month, developer Embark Studios has deployed another new patch for ARC Raiders on May 5, bringing a handful of important bug fixes and general improvements to the extraction shooter. The latest ARC Raiders update is available to download now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and not only includes some new fixes, but also brings some new cosmetic items to the in-game store.

Riven Tides was the fourth and final update included in ARC Raiders‘ Escalation roadmap, and it was a big one. Not only did the patch see the addition of a brand-new coastal-themed map, but it also introduced another deadly ARC enemy to the game, the Turbine. The massive, cone-shaped robot won’t attack unless it’s disturbed, but anybody who does come in the way of the Turbine will definitely know about it. Riven Tides also made further quality-of-life improvements, bug fixes, and even some controversial balance adjustments. Now, just one week later, Embark has rolled out another patch to address some issues from the April 28 update.

ARC Raiders Releases New 1.27.0 Update

ARC Raiders players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC can now download patch 1.27.0, which includes tons of bug fixes, general improvements, and new cosmetic items. Players looking to get their hands on the latest character outfits can visit the in-game store to check out the Corsaro Set & the Mutton Chops facial hair bundle, which are priced at 1,600 and 500 Raider Tokens, respectively. As for the bug fixes, Embark has fixed an issue with the Turbine’s attacks not being visible from far away and adjusted the visibility on proximity mines deployed from the Turbine. The studio says it has also improved the quality of Turbine landing behaviour to mitigate instances of poor landing zone selection, such as treetops.

There are tons more fixes and improvements in the May 5 ARC Raiders update, with full details being found in the official patch notes further down this article. One fix in particular that fans will be pleased to see relates to a pesky bug that was causing tons of unavoidable deaths in ARC Raiders. Prior to today’s update, players who were attacked by Ticks while holding a carryable were unable to fight it off or drop the item, resulting in players being forced to accept their fate. Thankfully, Embark has fixed the issue, confirming that players can now drop their carryable and fight off Ticks when they are attacked while carrying something.

Last month’s Riven Tides update also made some major balance changes that fans weren’t happy about. Shortly after the patch went live, the community started a petition to revert ARC Raiders‘ weapon durability changes, as Common weapons now lose 75% of their durability per shot, while Uncommon weapons lose 50%. With players now repairing their weapons after nearly every match, fans want some serious changes. While the studio hasn’t said whether or not it intends to revert the durability changes, today’s update does include a note from the team that says it is “exploring balancing adjustments to improve upon the changes introduced with Riven Tides.” Embark then said that it wants to get the changes right, so players will hear more when the studio is ready.

With Riven Tides now available, it marks the end of ARC Raiders‘ current roadmap, and there has been no word from Embark on when further content updates will arrive. However, the good news is that the studio has said it intends to support ARC Raiders for the next decade, which means a second roadmap for 2026 may hopefully be shared in the coming weeks. Embark has also previously stated that there will be multiple new maps released throughout the next year, so fans still have plenty to look forward to.
