ARC Raiders Reveals Two New Enemies for February’s Shrouded Sky Update

ARC Raiders developer Embark Studios has pulled back the curtain on the highly anticipated Shrouded Sky update, revealing two deadly new ARC threats, new changes to Dam Battlegrounds, and much more. The next ARC Raiders patch is set to go live on February 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and will be the second of four major content updates planned for the first half of 2026.

Late last month, Embark released the Headwinds update for ARC Raiders, which was the first major content patch of the year and the beginning of the shooter’s 2026 roadmap. The update brought some unexpected changes, including the addition of a controversial new 1v3 matchmaking option and a Buried City-exclusive map modifier that increased the number of birds, trinkets, and ziplines on the map. There were also two new Augments, tons of bug fixes and general improvements, and more. But with February coming to a close, Embark is now gearing up to release another major update this week.

ARC Raiders Says It Still Has Plans to Revamp the Game’s Skill Tree

ARC Raiders developer Embark Studios confirms it still has plans to revamp the extraction shooter’s controversial skill tree.

ARC Raiders Reveals New Details About Big Shrouded Sky Update

Over the last few days, Embark has been teasing ARC Raiders‘ big Shrouded Sky update, but it has now pulled back the curtain and detailed all of the new content coming to the game on February 24. As previously revealed, tomorrow’s patch will add a new Hurricane map condition, forcing players to face new challenges as the wind brings decreased visibility, flying debris, and affected movement. Keeping in line with the new map modifier, a new Weather Monitoring Player Project is also set to debut with Shrouded Sky. Shani will task players with collecting materials to build a weather monitoring system, where they must collect and contribute specific materials from topside to build the features of the system, and earn their Raider some rewards in the process.

Fans caught a glimpse of the new ARC enemies in a recent teaser trailer for Shrouded Sky, but Embark has now confirmed that the update will add a Firefly and Comet ARC. The Firefly is an armored flying machine that emits a jet of flame, burning your Raider to a crisp unless you can move quickly or find cover. The Comet, on the other hand, is a spherical ARC machine that calmly patrols the surface until it comes across an unsuspecting Raider. The Comet will then lock on to its target before exploding with a seismic boom.

As was previously confirmed last week, Embark is giving ARC Raiders players a highly requested feature with Shrouded Sky: facial hair! The studio says that all players will immediately unlock the Stubble Beard cosmetic with tomorrow’s update, while the Full Beard will be a part of the Surgeon Raider Deck, which also goes live on February 24. Embark says the Stubble Beard and Thick Moustache will also be available via the in-game store from February 24. Speaking of which, tomorrow’s store update will also see the Volare Set and Devotee Set become available in the store.

Finally, Embark says it’s also making some changes to one of ARC Raiders‘ most popular maps, Dam Battlegrounds. Shrouded Sky will see a new Controlled Access Zone uncovered on Dam Battlegrounds. Surrounded by Rocketeers, this new area of the map will be filled with high-value loot, but Embark has yet to reveal where exactly on the map it will be. For now, fans will have to wait until Shrouded Sky goes live on February 24 to find out more.
