Assassin’s Creed Hexe Release Date Leaked, Plus More Brand-New Details

Assassin’s Creed Hexe Release Date Leaked, Plus More Brand-New Details

Assassin’s Creed Hexe is set to release around June 2027, with a known leaker dropping a handful of new details alongside this date. Ubisoft is currently focused on the release of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, but there’s some hope in the community that its success translates well to the next release in Assassin’s Creed Hexe. Some fans are hoping Ubisoft shows more of it as soon as Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, especially with its Witch Hunt Germany setting.

Of course, there are a lot of wants and ifs involved in all of this, but it’s worth mentioning that Ubisoft’s 2026 release line-up is thin by the company’s own admission. It would make some sense to go ahead and build anticipation and hype for its 2027 slate of releases, and Gamescom itself presents a unique opportunity for Assassin’s Creed Hexe—not just the familiar backdrop, but the timing after Black Flag. Either way, known leaker Rogue (who should still be taken with a grain of salt) has been posting a lot of details that would seemingly be related to a marketing release of the game.

Leaker Rogue has said that Assassin’s Creed Hexe is targeting a June 2027 release, but that this could still understandably be changed. It is said to release across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, with a Standard Edition ($70), Deluxe Edition ($90), and a Collector’s Edition ($120). There is also reportedly a pre-order bonus, which includes an additional quest, none of which is particularly unique or surprising for Ubisoft’s typical release plans. Where it gets interesting is once Rogue starts talking about the details.

Previously, it was leaked that the protagonist for Assassin’s Creed Hexe is named Annika, and the Witch Trials of Wurzburg were the specific historical backdrop. Not only will fans be in Wurzburg, though, but Rogue also claims that Nuremberg is another key location in the game, which would not be surprising after the St. Lawrence Cathedral AC Hexe teaser in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. Between those is a large-scale forest with multiple smaller villages, with Rogue describing the game as a large-scale, yet linear game. Rogue also claims that the parkour of Assassin’s Creed Hexe is more akin to the older games, but “more advanced than ever before,” which is particularly exciting.

Rogue also repeats leaks that Assassin’s Creed Hexe is an incredibly dark game, which isn’t surprising given the historical backdrop, but that the game is also graphically better than AC Shadows. AC Shadows‘ weather tech also created a foggy atmosphere for unique takedowns and assassinations. It was previously reported that Assassin’s Creed Hexe indeed removed magic from gameplay, but that “magic” is still involved, perhaps in reference to an Isu Artifact. And finally, they mention the fear system from the Assassin’s Creed Syndicate‘s Jack the Ripper DLC is back and improved, causing NPCs to panic, misfire weapons, flee zones, and/or ostracize outsiders like Annika.

Overall, it’s hard to say for sure which, if any, of these rumors have substance, but folks pay attention to Rogue for some reason. If Assassin’s Creed Hexe is at Gamescom 2026, then that’s the perfect place to put some witchy rumors to rest.
