Assassin’s Creed Shadows‘ Title Update 1.1.10 has introduced significant changes to an area and added possible hints toward news for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. It’s worth noting that Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is in development, but the company has yet to say or reveal anything significant about the upcoming remake.
Beyond this possible teaser, Assassin’s Creed Shadows‘ Title Update 1.1.10 introduced Bo weapons across the world for those who don’t own the Claws of Awaji expansion, PSSR 2 Support for PlayStation 5 Pro consoles, and Mouse/Keyboard support for Nintendo Switch 2 consoles. This Assassin’s Creed Shadows update also fixed several gameplay bugs, UI issues, quest problems, and weapon/perk issues.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Will Be a Whole New Game
The upcoming remake of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag will be a completely different game, down to the genre, compared to the 2013 original.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake News Could Be Coming Soon
While the update did introduce new features and fix some issues, it also slipped some area changes. If players travel to the Hidden River in the Yamato region, structures (either Animus’ creations or Isu structures) have begun floating in the air. While early theories suggested this could be tied to the next Animus Rift mission or a Kassandra quest for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the area name hints at Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced instead. The name in question is “MU5DME0xTjZEME00MU40QzcxVjQ3MTBO,” which is Base64 encoded text.
Decoding it leads to leet speak: “1NC0M1N6D0M41N4C71V4710N.” Swapping it from leet speak to standard English reveals the name of the area: “Incoming Domain Activation.” In simplest terms, it’s almost a direct statement that the news for AC Black Flag Resynced is coming soon. The social media manager for two Assassin’s Creed fan communities (Isu Network and The Ones Who Came Before), Zephryss, was quick to highlight these details in relation to a recent domain registration. Ubisoft registered the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced website domain in December 2025, perhaps meaning that said website will go live soon.
The Assassin’s Creed Shadows Title Update just went live on April 7, meaning fans moved quickly to find this teaser, but it should still be taken with a grain of salt. It’s possible, however unlikely, that this refers to something else entirely, as “domain activation” here could be a reference to a product or crossover activation. It does seem likely that a website activation is the intended reference, but given how many Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced rumors and leaks amounted to very little in the end, fans shouldn’t get their hopes up quite yet.

The good news, of course, is that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is confirmed to be in development. Many questions are still in the air, including the extent of changes to the game, but if one thing is clear, it’s that fans are ready to lace up the boots of Edward Kenway once more.
