Baldur’s Gate 3 Is Now Easier to Beat on Consoles

Baldur’s Gate 3 has received a new update that makes it dramatically easier to beat on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series systems. The new addition will help anyone who has been stuck in the game or just wants to revisit Baldur’s Gate 3 without any real struggle.

Baldur’s Gate 3 was popular right away for its incredible story, in-depth gameplay systems, and for the minute details that can be found throughout the game. However, the game has also seen a lively modding scene that has added everything from simple cosmetics to completely new campaigns over the years. Some of these mods have been gradually making their way to console players, and now one more has been added to the list.

Larian has green-lit a new batch of mods for Baldur’s Gate 3 for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, and one of them can make the game easier than ever. Cheater’s Menu is now an available mod for console gamers, which adds a whopping 300 cheat options to the game. The types of commands in the cheat vary wildly, ranging from things as simple as adding more gold to the player’s pouch to maxing out the party entirely. If players have found themselves unable to progress or finding that their playthrough is too difficult due to decisions they’ve made, utilizing the mod will let players do anything from make it a little easier to turning the campaign into a complete cakewalk.

The Cheater’s Menu mod is divided up into ten subsections, namely Character, Power, Utility, Spells, Items, Editor, Feats, Skills, Races, and Search. Players can choose to do things like access spells that are normally off-limits, ensure dice rolls are always in the player’s favor, or even things as simple as teleporting the group to one location. While the modding scene for Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC is more expansive than its console counterparts, those who are interested in trying out Cheater’s Menu can also get it for the PC and Mac versions of the game. Once installed, utilizing the mod is as simple as casting a spell, which brings up the full menu to navigate through.

Outside the Cheater’s Menu, a number of other new mods have been added for PlayStation and Xbox users to peruse. Some of the most interesting among them introduce new classes or subclasses, like the Warlock Dragon Patron subclass or Spell Thief, which introduces a Final Fantasy Blue Mage-like subclass to the game. Other additions include new outfits, body types, dynamic difficulty scaling, double enemies, and more. While some mods work together better than others, mixing and matching some of these with the Cheater’s Menu could help to liven up the game for those who have already seen everything the campaign has to offer.

On the PC side of things, those who are looking for something new to do in the game may want to check out The Sunless Citadel. The modded campaign adds about eight hours of new content to the game and is compatible with co-op, so players can get friends together to check out what the new dungeon crawl has to offer. As the mod is currently incomplete, it’s unavailable for consoles, but that could end up changing in the future.
