Baldur’s Gate 4 Has One Easy Avenue to Follow Up on BG3’s Iconic Party
Baldur’s Gate 3’s party includes incredible and memorable characters, but Baldur’s Gate 4 can make a big improvement by changing just one thing.
Another talented Reddit user called Frau_Haku has just shared their cosplay of a different fan-favorite companion: Lae’zel of Crèche K’liir, Baldur’s Gate 3’s resident Githyanki fighter. As the first character encountered during the player’s journey into the Forgotten Realms, Lae’zel’s quest for vindication and revenge is one of the longest and most profound character arcs in the game. However, her yellow-green skin, long pointed ears, and mottled skin markings make her one of the more difficult appearances to recreate. Frau_Haku has once again overcome these challenges with another epic Lae’zel cosplay. Defiantly posing with her Githyanki Greatsword and Shadowheart’s mysterious artifact amidst the ruins of a castle, Frau_Haku has brought the character to life with images that could easily have been taken from the game.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Fan Shows Off Stunning Lae’zel Cosplay
The skilled cosplayer initially revealed her stunning Lae’zel costume to the r/Baldur’sGate3 subreddit in May, when it quickly became the most upvoted vote on the page with over 66,000 votes – almost twice as many as the next most popular post. While some Reddit users have noted that this new set of photos is more heavily edited than her first, nothing can detract from the skill required to create a cosplay with this level of detail. The effects used to emulate the artifact and tadpole’s interference additionally blur the lines between the game’s graphics and reality. Frau_Haku has also previously created many cosplays of popular video game personalities, including other characters from Baldur’s Gate 3, such as Astarian, Mizora in her demonic and human forms, and Lae’zel wearing her alternative camp clothes.
Despite the surprising news that Larian will not be producing a Baldur’s Gate 3 sequel or DLC, the studio still has some treats in store for fans. Larian has announced that Patch 7 will bring some big features to the game, including an official modding toolkit that will make mods more stable and compatible across different platforms. By bringing mods to consoles, Larian is further empowering Baldur’s Gate 3’s creative community.
