Fallout 4 developer Bethesda has issued a warning to players ahead of the game’s August 18 update. This update is focused on Creation improvements, and as a result, could affect the Creations and mods Fallout 4 players have installed. To avoid any issues with their saves, Bethesda is recommending that players log into their games and manually save their load order before installing the update.
Fallout 4’s August 18 Update Could Cause Issues with Installed Creations
In a Twitter post from the official Bethesda account, the developer recommends that players back up the load order for their Fallout 4 Creations due to the potential for the new update to cause issues with installed mods. Once this load order is saved, players can install the new Fallout 4 update, and they should be able to re-download their entire Creations list with no issues. The statement also notes that a similar update for Skyrim is in production, with more details to be shared soon.
