Bloodborne Fans Are Running Out of Time to Experience the Return to Yharnam 2026 Event

Bloodborne Fans Are Running Out of Time to Experience the Return to Yharnam 2026 Event

Bloodborne has been in headlines recently, largely due to PlayStation’s closure of Bluepoint Games and the very thought of a Bloodborne remake from that studio, if not FromSoftware. These events may have overshadowed the recent Return to Yharnam event for Bloodborne fans, which began on March 24 but lasts only through April 7.

Every year, Bloodborne fans flock to Yharnam together as a major community event. Single-player games inevitably lose players day in and day out, but “Return” events are a great way to show love. Bloodborne is still hailed as one of the best games of all time, with fans clearly wanting more movement with the IP, and the best way to showcase that is to be involved with Return to Yharnam.

A Bloodborne Remake from Bluepoint Almost Happened, But FromSoftware Reportedly Said No

The now-defunct Bluepoint Games reportedly pitched the idea of a Bloodborne remake to Sony, but FromSoftware apparently didn’t want it to happen.

Bloodborne’s Return to Yharnam Counter is Going

As of this writing, there is roughly a week left in Bloodborne‘s Return to Yharnam event for 2026. This may mean it’s a little hard-pressed to play through, but community remains a powerful thing. These events aim to see veterans return and help new players, all while reviving community debates (endings, best weapons, etc), helping new players defeat Bloodborne‘s most powerful bosses, and ultimately showing developers (FromSoftware) that fans still love their game. It comes to an end at 7 pm on April 7, in local times.

The rules are pretty simple: show up, have fun, spread the love of Bloodborne. Even if you’ve never played Bloodborne before or are scared of playing Soulslike games, the community is there to help you. Some may choose to retain their older Bloodborne characters, but others are encouraged to create a brand new character. It’s in the name: return to the game and play together. It even applies to Bloodborne‘s beloved Old Hunters DLC; said DLC is not required, though, if you have it, you are encouraged to play through it with others.

How to Get Involved

A little bit of everything goes on with Bloodborne‘s Return to Yharnam event. While it’s true that there are many co-op PvE experiences between veterans and newbies alike, some fans return to give Bloodborne‘s PvP a shot in the arm. If someone wants to join Bloodborne‘s PvP community, they will need to purchase the Sinister Resonant Bell and Ring it to get in on the action. During the event, the Nightmare Frontier is the most common PVP area, more of a makeshift PVP arena.

Bloodborne Orphan of Kos

With a week to go, anyone who has yet to return to Yharnam, even if it’s just for a session or a day, ought to make the most of it. While Bloodborne‘s player counts are impressive for such an old game (at this point), it’s not enough to rely on any normal day. But for now, Yharnam is absolutely teeming with Hunters, with newcomers and veterans alike invited to join in.
